Chapter 1

It was a beautiful day to go for a road trip Skylar though to himself. He called his best friend Alex and asked him if he'd like to join him, after Alex said yes Skylar got in the car and went to Alex's house. While waiting for Alex to get in the car Skylar was flipping through radio stations until he heard New perspective by P!ATD came on. Towards the end of the song Alex walked out of his apartment complex and got in the car.

"Hey man," Skylar said.

"Hey dude can we stop at the gas stations I need some cancer sticks," Alex gave him a grin and winked.

Skylar put the car in drive and started blabbing.

"Hey man have you seen that new girl at subway? She's a sweetheart although she's also drop dead gorgeous," Skylar said in a dreamy voice.

"Dude she's out of your league," Alex rolled his eyes.

When Skylar went to pull into the gas station a car cut him off, before he had time to think the cars hit head on.

"Alex are you ok?," Skylar had blood ozing from his eyes and had a sharp pain in his nose. Shit my nose is broken he thought to himself.

"Alex?," he started to worry Alex always answered him.

"ALEX!" He finally got a glance at his friend.

He saw Alex's mangaled body. There was shrapnal and glass stuck in his body but the deadly blow was the the giant piece of sheet metal sticking out from his forehead.

Skylar woke up sweating. He ran his hair through his jet black hair.

"Fuck what a nightmare," after a few minutes he remember his nightmare was real. He looked over his body and at the scars that remained. Skylar wished his friend was here more then anything and he wished he had died instead of Alex.

There was a pounding at the door at skylar slithered out of bed.

"Hello?" Skylar was rubbing his eyes. Shit its the landlord and I don't have the rent money yet.

"Hello skylar I'm here to remind you that your rent is due next week," she said with a sickly sweet smile.

"I know I'll have the money don't worry," he managed to stiffle a smile.

"Ok have a nice day," with that that landlord walked away and skylar was left with his thoughts.

So yeah this probably isn't the best book ever but my friend and I just wanted to try this out because why not? Anyways if you do like this book and have any tips don't be afraid to leave a comment.
