"It's time to wake up, frisk!" Frisk sits up to see Hikari, one of her childhood friends. Her other friend is a ghost named Chara, her brother. Anyways, onto the story. "What are you lying around for? It's far too hot... You're going to cook!" "Hi, Hikari." Frisk replied with a smile, sitting up to look at her clearly, while Chara cringes over their friendship. "Geez! Is that what passes as a greeting these days?" "Sorry, I was just spacing out." "Hmmph. Well, it's my fault for treating you with respect." "Hey!" Frisk exclaimed, punching Hikari's shoulder. "Ow! Is that how you hit a girl?" "Cmon! That didn't even hurt you!.. Did it?" Frisk replied worriedly while Chara was angry and confused at the same time wondering why Hikari said 'how'. "You're always so worried! Anyways, what ARE you doing out here? Do you have any idea how long it took me to find you?" "I'm just resting, what's up?" "Resting? That's what you always do! You realize we're starting school tomorrow riiiiight?" "Yep. And I don't like that." Chara smirk while floating upside down in front of frisk's face, unbeknowing to Hikari. Xchara is only visible to frisk, but magical girls  can sense ghosts, especially if either one had high magical power. If both had high magical power, then the magical girl can see the being. Frisk has reset abilities while Chara has overwrite abilities. "What classes are we taking?" Hikari gives a thoughtful expression before scolding frisk, "well if you read the guide I gave you at home, then you'd know you're taking basic classes this year. Nothing too difficult, I'd imagine. They already know you're a noob, so you shouldn't have any problems." Although this made frisk mad, she knew this wasn't true, so she shot, "right back at you." Hikari looked taken aback, and Chara laughed his ass off. "Well, I've been practicing for years, so I have more experience." 'Experience' that word threw Chara off. He stopped laughing, turned himself upright, and flew away to who knows where to think. Frisk only saw this behavior a few times before, and it always changed him. This was the tenth time. Frisk was worried, but shrugged it off. "Why am I going to school for magical girls again?" Hikari shuffles nervously while explaining, "the truth is, about a month ago, you and I were having dinner together when your powers awoke. I noticed it immediately, but you shrugged it off like it didn't happen." "What happened there?" "Like I said, we were having dinner together. I accidentally knocked over a glass of water off the table." Oh yeah, the first time Chara activated my powers and his in front of me! "It was going to shatter on my bare feet, and I screamed, afraid of cutting myself on the glass. It all happened so quickly. I couldn't move in time. And you opened your eyes, and it stopped, frozen in time. You laughed it off asking if I wanted a new one." "I don't think I did that." "I think you think I did that, after all you know about my powers for a long time." "Yeah, you had your powers since you were 13, right?" "I don't remember. I have a specific skill set, and I'm untrained, so I couldn't have done that. So after that night, I replayed those memories back in my head, and could only conclude that you had stopped the glass to save me getting cut on broken glass." "So I saved you?" "Bleah! Not quite, Frisk. Anyway, to cut a long story short... I never enrolled us to attend the academy. We were sent invitations from the Association. They can detect who has magical powers and who doesn't, you know. They keep a track record of everyone. According to the association, once magical girls reach 18 years of age, it's law for them to attend the academy. The letters basically demanded that we attend the academy, effective immediately. Because you awakened your powers, right on the age of 18, you get the joy of going back to school! Regardless, we both start class tomorrow. We'll both be training to become magical girls!" Frisk likes new friends and jumps at every chance. This is the same case for today. "What do you say we get out of here? We can get some dinner on our last night of freedom!" "I'll pay I guess." "You will, and you will do it happily." Frisk was lucky that Chara was able to both suppress, and boost powers, though it was a bad idea to prove it, Frisk felt. But it was a good idea for the academy to teach him to reach his full potential. Right?
