This is going to be a little serie of 2/3 chapters. Not requested, but I hope you will give feedback and requests!

Summary: Robert is a successful business worker that because of his work has to go away for a few days. But those few days will soon become a whole month, leaving you to feel very sad, until a surprise is coming for you.

Y/N'S POV

Two weeks had passed since Robert left for New York, because of a very important job meeting he couldn't avoid. He didn't want to leave me behind, nor wanted us to be apart from each other, but there was no other choice. He had to go, otherwise he would have lost new opportunities for his career.

Rob, being the protective and loving man he always was, had tried to convince me to go with him, but I had to deny. I was still in University, and while he had to work, I had to study very hard to finally get my degree. I remembered very well how he kept pleading me to go, even during the day of his departure. We were cuddling on the couch of his apartment, enjoying the last moment we had together until we would have to be apart for days.

"Y/N/N, please, come with me. You know I can buy a ticket for you at the last minute." he suddenly said while caressing my back, looking down at me with praying eyes.

I giggled, shocking my head and raising my glare towards his.

"You know that I want to say yes, Rob, more than anything. Just the thought of me and you being apart and so far away from each other is really killing me inside." I exclaimed with a sigh, resting again my head on his shoulder.

I hoped that he could stop talking about it, because all I wanted was to stay into his arms, cuddling, without thinking at the next days and at what was about to come. I wanted to enjoy this last minutes with him, so I could hold these moments while he was away.

But apparently, this wasn't into his plans today.

"Then come. Please. I really don't like the thought of you being here alone, unprotected. I really need to know that you will be safe, and the only way I will be able to do that is for you to come with me." he said, holding me closer to his body.

I liked how much he cared about me. With him I always felt in the right place, protected, loved, wanted and cared. But sometimes, when it went with my protection and my well being, he worried a bit too much. Not that I would complain about that. I loved the feeling of protection that he gave to me every time. With Rob, there was no time I didn't feel protected. He was where I was meant to be.

"I can't do that, I have my lessons to follow and exams that I'm going to give soon. I need to be here and to study. Besides, I wouldn't be of any help by being with you, because you would worry about me when all you have to do is thinking about your work. It's important for you, and you need to free your mind from anything else. Also from me." I said calmly. Despite I hated all of that, I knew how much important his work was to him, and I wouldn't allow him to fail just because of me.

"It's just for a few days Rob, I will survive. We will survive." I added, taking his face in my hands and looking into his eyes.

"Okay, love. You win this time, but only because you're right. There is nothing that our strong love can't overcome." he said, knowing that was it, I was staying in London and he was about to leave for the United States.
