Rein sat there uncomfortably silent as the three people around her chatted with each other. She should have never agreed to this but she would be stupid to turn down 600 dollars. All so this rich boy wouldn't feel embarrassed.

She sipped the remainder of the sweet tea she had been drinking for the past 3 minutes. She looked over at her 'boyfriend' of three days, Jared. He comes from a rich family so he has money to waste unlike her who needs the money to help pay for rent. They're on the verge of being evicted, but this money will help a lot.

"So where did you guys meet?" Jared's friend asked. She forgot his name already. She mentally sighed and facepalmed.

"We met at Starbucks. Jared offered to buy my coffee then we hit it off." Rein answered a bit nervous. She wasn't a good liar but it was technically the truth. They did meet at Starbucks.

She looked over at Jared nervously. He never said this would be like an interview.

"Hmm, interesting." The other girl said. She looked like she was holding back her laughter.

"Is something funny?" Jared asked sounding upset. He had a rude tone that put Rein on edge. They're going to find out and she won't get the money. She could feel her eyes watering up already. She hates talking to strangers.

"No, it's just she seems so nervous. I didn't know our wild and rude Jared would fall for the delicate and shy type." The other girl replied with a bright smile.

"Well, she's cute, and I like her personality," Jared commented as he glanced at Rein. Rein felt a blush rush to her face. Well, it's not that bad.

The lunch date passed slowly but she didn't have to talk much. Jared would usually change the conversation to something else or speak for her. She finished eating quite quickly and looked at Jared. He smiled brightly and laughed. He shines while she sat there looking gloomy.

"I got to take her home now. Her dad is scary!" Jared said looking toward her. He grabbed her hand and led her out of the cafe. The walk to the car was silent but oddly comfortable.

Rein got into the passenger seat and closed her door. She watched Jared start the car and drive her home. She was grateful but felt a bit guilty. All she did today was sit there and eat. In the end, she was a sucky girlfriend and didn't do enough to get the money.

"Hey um, Jared. I don't think I should get the money." She said nervously. Jared stayed silent and smiled.

"Why?" He asked sounding playful.

"I didn't do anything girlfriend-like today."

"Okay then..."

She let out a sigh of relief and started thinking about other jobs she could do instead.

"Let's keep going on dates until you feel like you did something girlfriend-like." His smile caused her to blush.
