Niall sat next to his husband and wrapped an arm round him, "what have they said?" He asked softly.
"They said he's lucky to be alive with the amount of alcohol in his system" he said just above a whisper. Niall shook his head in disbelief. "Where is he now?" Harry shrugged sadly, "they haven't told me much else" he admitted.

The three of them sat in the waiting room silently. Liam's head was in his hands, he couldn't believe Louis had got that bad. He was like their mum, no ability to stop.

Just over an hour later a doctor came to see the family. "He's stable and should be able to go home tomorrow" he said. He explained how he was currently receiving fluid and oxygen and that he had a concussion from his fall. Harry shook his head in disbelief, "we are horrible parents" he said sadly.
"Don't say that" Niall said softly, squeezing his hand.
"You're not" Liam agreed quietly he looked down at his feet, "without you who knows what would have happened and I'm not just talking about tonight" he said sadly. Harry sighed sadly and wrapped his arms round his son. The doctor smiled sympathetically at the three, "before he is discharged tomorrow he will need to have a consultation with a therapist about his relationship with alcohol" he explained. Niall nodded, "thank you for everything, we are so sorry about this" he added, "can we see him?" He asked.
"He's still quite out of it but he is awake" the doctor nodded taking the family to where
Louis was.

Louis lay still, an oxygen mask covering his mouth. His eyes were half open and he made an sound when he saw his family. "Shh, you're okay darling, we are here now" Harry said softly, sitting next to his son and taking his hand. Louis began to cry he was in pain emotionally and physically and he was just relieved his family were here. "Don't worry Lou, please don't worry about anything" Harry continued to sooth the boy.

Niall took Liam home and stayed with him while Harry stayed with Louis. The next day Louis felt awful, he was now more alert but his head was killing him, his stomach was churning and he felt so low, the lowest he'd ever felt.

Late morning he had a meeting with the therapist about his relationship with alcohol and his biological parents. This just ended up making him feel even worse. However, it was clear the the therapist that he would need more regular sessions and that it would be beneficial for Liam to have some too. A referral was made.

On the way home Harry had to pull over several times for Louis to throw up. The hangover and concussion was making him feel nauseous and dizzy. When they got home Niall had to help Harry get him inside because he was unable to walk in a straight line with out support. They helped him onto the sofa where he curled up and begun to cry again. Liam walked over silently and hugged him. He had seen his mum come down from a binge before so was used to it but he also knew why Louis was crying and it wasn't just from feeling low from the alcohol. It was for them both and what they had been through in their past.

Please comment and let me know what you think. I'm not sure whether to post another chapter or end it there and make another book with more chapters from the families past (I could take requests) or what? Any suggestions are appreciated x
