"Kirishima?!"
Kirishima's heavy eyes just started to blink open. He was faced with three teary faces, overwhelmed with relief. Kirishima gave the best smile he could manage as the officials carried his stretcher to the ambulance. He saw Fatgum wave in the distance with a wink and a heart, telling Kirishima that he had made his mentor proud. Although keeping his eyes open was a struggle, he refused to let them close for too long. He didnt want to miss what was going on around him;besides, he couldn't risk anything in his state.
He turned his head over so slightly to try and spot his crewmate Suneater. And he did.

"Its gonna be okay Amajiki, we are both here. We are both alive. We both did so amazing. I am so proud of you". Mirio put all of his emotions into what he was telling his boyfriend. Somehow through the mental exhaust Mirio was going through, he felt better when telling Amajiki that he's proud and explaining how everything was going to be just fine. They both needed that moment with each other to remind themselves of everything they are fighting for. A moment to recharge.
Mirio pulled in Amajiki again holding his boyfriend's entire body in his torn up arms. Amajki tilted his head up, meeting eyes with the tall, muscular, blonde in front of him. The feeling of peace. The feeling of safety. All concealed with a passionate kiss.

Kirishima's eyes widened. Not entirely because of shock or disbelief, for it made sense. He just wasnt expecting it. Something in him lingered after seeing how they interacted with one another. A familiar feeling of longing crept into his chest. Longing to experience what they just did. With that, came the memories of his best friend who he had grown so close to.
Kirishima felt as though he was intruding the couple's privacy so he turned his head the other way. But the damage had already been done. He had already begun rethinking his emotions and how he deals with them.
He found the act manly as Mirio wasnt afraid of any others, he was focused solely on comforting Tamaki. Bringing the word manly into things makes Kirishima hyperfixate on whatever that thing may be. This led to thought after thought and everytime it came to one person.
Katsuki Bakugou.

Of course, Kirishima knew this is not at all what he was supposed to be focusing on at that moment. He needed to focus on rest and recovery. Nothing like what his mind was stuck on. Yet, no matter how hard he tried, his longing for the comfort of a loved one overwhelmed him. While the adrenaline was keeping the pain away, the weight of all his other emotions and flashes of the fight became to heavy. His eyes began to shut from the weight.
"Hey! Hey Man, where are ya?! Come on we need you to keep those eyes open for us" FatGum said in an attempt to keep him alive. His voice, as always, sounded very sweet and lively, yet the feeling of worry was hidden underneath. FatGum grew worried of the red head, he knew how much Kirishima pushed himself only two hours ago.
A groan was all kirishima could manage. His strength was still gone. He heard FatGum, he knew he had to show FatGum he was okay. He began shift slightly. He heard the audible sigh of relief from his mentor. His eyes flickered to a half open position, struggling to go any further. The bright lights of the hospital room didnt help the situation.
"Hey bud, how ya feelin. You worked yourself beyond hard out there" FatGum spoke up.
"...Mhm..."
"Dang, cant even get a word out of my not-so-little chickling. That's alright, its probably best if you focus on recovery"
"Right...recovery. Not- whatever the hell that was out there"
"Welp, we'll be checking in on ya every so often for the next week, but for now just close tour eyes and relax. We'll make sure you're okay"
Kirishima wanted to ask about visitors and whether or not they were allowed. He wanted to see his friends again and show them he was okay. They had to have heard of everything by now and he didn't want them worrying. He couldn't even send out a text of some dumb sentence that implied he was still alive. His phone sat back in his dorm room way to far to go get, and he didnt want to have anyone else grab for him.
The thought of Bakugou still lingered in his mind. He was especially scared of how bakugo was taking this. Kirishima knew he was probably sitting there in his dorm room too worried to go to sleep. Kirishima knew that his brain was running endlessly on thoughts of "what ifs?". Well- maybe he didnt know. Maybe it was just his imagination, or his longing of someone who cares for him in such a way. His brain became filled with thoughts about how Bakugou might not even be worried the slightest, how he's probably sound asleep on his twin sized mattress at this very moment.
