The party finished and he heard that Roland was feeling unwell. He thought about the woman with purple eyes and contemplated on how she was related to Cornelia. Apparently, Cornelia found Roland on the pavements as she was walking around and now people have their suspicions that Cornelia was the legendary witch who survived 11 years before in the pit. Of course, River doubted this.

Once the morning came, Roman, Remus, Rex, and Ronald became sick too without reason. The queen was slowly recovering though, gaining some of her strength and even her mental illness was slowly disappearing while her children are suffering.

"I think someone casted a spell on them." One of the maids whispered to a butler, "Is it not odd that the queen is gaining strenth while her sons are losing theirs?"

"I bet that it is a lifesteal spell." The butler replied, "I read it in books of old and scattered parchment found by explorers."

"Is it that powerful?" The maid asked.

"I think so... It is like cannibalism." The butler replied.

River paid them no mind as he went around his merry way. Considering that Cornelia was the suspect, her family laid low while the investigation commenced. Her father has not come back and it worried her more. Her mother was stressed for her daughter was in trouble for something she didn't do.

"Mother," Cornelia softly spoke as she held her mother close, "What will they do to me?"

"Nothing..." Her mother replied earnestly, "I will not let them do anything to you."

"Whem will father come back?" Cornelia cried to her mother, "He promised that he'll come home by the sun sets but he is still not here..."

"I, too, have no idea, but your mother is not going to leave, I am not going anywhere..." The sweet mother hugged her daughter tightly as they hid in the master's chambers.

The more of these rumours River heard, the more he grew uncertain. Just who is Cornelia? Are they really the same? These were only two of the many questions that bothered him as he tried looking for her. He rode his horse around the kingdom in hopes of finding her but he only saw rioting people, demanding her death. He looked around, not knowing that the real culprit was watching him from afar with her glowing lilac gaze.

Once the night came, Cornelia was asleep while her mother was restless. She took off her wedding ring and placed it on the countertop before entering a secret room in the mansion. She lit a candle before continuing through the dark hallway and as she got closer to the end, her red eyes glowed and as soon as she stepped into the hidden room in the end of the hall, all the candles lit up, illuminating the room.

"You never possessed such power as I..." Cornelia's mother mumbled, "Yet they accuse you of this absurdity... How I wonder why..."

She didn't wish to harm the same people that held them in high regard so she decided to oversee the situation. She saw in her vision a woman with violet eyes, much like her daughter. She wore a nun's clothing but she knew that woman was not part of the parish. She found the person but she has yet to know the motive.

Torches lit the streets and the noise of the people arguing filled the void of silence in the dead of night. Everything was falling apart when the people knew of the state of the monarchs. The peaceful life in Dallas quickly turned into chaos.

The nun looked from the bell tower into the chaos of the people below. She smiled, "Reap the fruit of your ignorance! Eleven years of torment and shame befell me and my family." She laughed maniacally, "I shall put my soul to rest, once I finish my goal... With the wish of eternity with the love of my life."
