Rainbow Dash
Pain, searing hot scorching pain. It's all I can feel as I writhe around on the floor of a dark room. I can't see a thing, it's all black as it permeates the air. Every bit of oxygen begins to rush out of my lungs, wind flying past my ears so all I can hear is the faint agonizing sound of a screaming soul. It's me screaming as the all the air rushes past me, my hair fluttering behind my skull and small droplets of blood spattering my vision.
A sharp stinging sensation burns in my chest and starts to erupt, more tortured howls escaping my throat, so loud my esophagus feels like somebody is dragging a knife up it. Yet I can still hardly hear it, the wind rushing past my ears and removing the oxygen from my surroundings. My lungs burn for air as my body twitches and I gasp, inhaling nothing but only blackness. "Help..." The tiny croak leaves my lips, even though I know nobody will come to help me.
The pain in my chest explodes, my heart bursting inside of me and my insides shouting out in agony as they too pop and shatter. I throw my head back and wail, the wind swirling around me and whipping my long ponytail every which way, my body remaining stagnant. The scream is cut short as my vocal cords snap, all of my innards failing me. I can feel each of my organs shutting off one by one, like city lights on a dark night. Nothing is left, yet I'm still alive. Somebody please... please.
I open my eyes and I still see black, the invisible force lashing my hair back and forth and across my face. My pale skin glows white and I begin to ascend through the darkness, my clothes hanging loosely from my body as I drift upwards, gasping for air like a fish out of water. My chest rises and falls rapidly as my arms and legs hang limp in the empty space, twitching.
My skin begins to burn and the flesh begins to peel, charred tissue and scorched bones exposed beneath the melting substance. My eyes widen and I cry, a dry cry, no tears. My body doesn't even know how to cry anymore, or scream. I attempt to clench my melting fists but my entire body is numb, no oxygen.
The pain tears the flesh off of my body, ripping off every morsel until I'm nothing but a brittle, burning skeleton floating in the air, chunks of muscle and skin drifting past me. My rainbow hair sinks slowly downward as I continue to ascend, my bones burning and my eyeballs twitching.
I stare upwards and see a light, a bright white light, blinding me. Cracks travel down my thin bones, shattering my thin skeleton until I'm nothing but presence, a nonexistent consciousness. I stare downwards and see my dismembered body parts floating downwards and clattering against the floor so far away from me. I look up as I enter the light, my body reappearing good as new. I'm glowing and translucent, the breath returning to me as white brightens my vision.
No.... No. I'm not dead.
