The hallways were filled with kids as the shrill sound of the bell signaled the end of school for the day. Peter and Ned walked side by side, pushing through the crowds to get towards their locker.
"Mr. Parker, a moment of your time?" His science teacher stood in the doorway of the classroom a small smile on his face.
"Yeah, wait up Ned." Peter was nervous, he didn't enjoy confrontation especially with figures of authority. This was all a bit ironic considering Spiderman was an expert in intense situations. As Peter entered the classroom he thought of anything that could possibly wrong. He came up with nothing.
"Mr. Parker do you remember when you applied for those internships a few months ago?"
"Yeah I remember that."
"Well as it turns out you were accepted for a few of them." His teacher smiled and placed three paper applications on the desk in front of them.
Peter was mildly surprised. In truth he was so busy being Spiderman he had forgotten about them. He picked up the papers, The Jackson Corporation accepted, Kingston Enterprises, accepted and Stark Industries, accepted.
"Wow thank you so much."
"It was all you Mr. Parker, however you must pick one and final decisions are due by the end of this week."
"Yeah, thank you again."
It was almost two hours later and Peter was laying on his bed. He still had a difficult decision to make. He felt his phone vibrate next to him.
