“What, he rejected you? Not surprised, Fatty!”

The girl the comment was aimed at turned around and burst into tears, holding her hands up to her face and running down the corridor.

I smirked. Ah, it was too easy.

My mate Lewis laughed under his breath and lit up another cigarette. He offered one to me.

I took it absentmindedly and Lewis lit it. Holding it to my mouth, I took a breath and forced myself not to gag. If I did that then Lewis would become suspicious. Simple actions could lead to devastating results. So much was at stake. Like my reputation.

Yeah I know, being known as a bully isn’t a good reputation but hey, it’s better than the reject eh?

And I can’t say it doesn’t feel good when people move out of our way and don’t dare to contradict us. Even the teachers look at us with fear.

I had taken the time to look the part. I dyed my naturally brown hair black, got tattoos and a piercing and wore my jeans low on my hips. Damn it felt good to be the bad boy for once.

Lewis was impressed with my change; especially the piercing and I didn’t dare tell him I only got it because Francesca Daines has one.

I could just imagine his voice:

“You love that freak? B-but she’s crazy! She like dyes her hair all the time and is into all this witchcraft and stuff… she’s abnormal dude. Nobody likes her; her only friend is that gay freak Cody.”

I snorted mentally. I thought Cesca was… cool. She was interesting too. I think she has some connection with cats too. She’s always talking to them and it’s as if they listen to her. There’s some weird but wonderful aura around her. Pity Lewis didn’t think on the same wavelength as me.

“Oi! Nerd!!” Lewis shouted at another poor victim.

I forced my face into an evil smirk.

Peter Kurt, well-known teacher’s pet and geek of the school turned around. His expression almost made me burst out laughing. He looked like a rabbit caught in headlights.

“Nerd!! What, you deaf or something?” I said, grinning.

“N-no,” Peter squeaked.

“Well answer then otherwise me may have to shout!” I yelled out the last word and Nerd-boy gulped.

“W-what do you want?”

Lewis slunk up to him and draped an arm on his shoulders. I swear I saw the smaller small sink a bit. “I’m in a spot of bother. You know that homework ‘I’ did for Maths?”

I smirked. For the past few weeks Lewis had made Peter do all his homework as well as his own. Cruel but funny.

“Yes?”

Lewis turned the boy around so he was right in his face. He grinned. “Well I’ve got detention because somehow the teacher knew I didn’t do it. How come Petey-boy? Did wittle Pweter get scared of the bwig nwasty Lewis and blab?”

Peter looked terrified and shook his head.

“Well how did he know?”

Again the nerd shook his head.

“YOU TOLD HIM DIDN’T YOU?!” Lewis roared and several people looked around.

“N-no I swear!”

“Then you told someone else who told him?!!”

Peter let out a squeak and shook head.

Lewis drew back a fist and punched the smaller boy in the stomach.
