Sophia's POV:

I've just woken up from an amazing dream. My dad (my REAL dad) was taking me for a ride on his motorbike with me sat on the front holding onto the handles as if I was actually driving. Like we use to do. I miss him. He left when I was 7 and I haven't really heard from him since then. He will come back. He promised.

"Phee" I hear my little sister say as she walks into my room with a drawing.

"Hey Nutmeg." I say sitting up and scooting over a little bit so she can fit onto my bed.

She sits beside me and shows me her picture. Its a picture of mom, Dylan, Megan and me all happy while Brad is standing a little way off with a knife in his eye and poop on his head.

"What do you think Phee?" She asks.

"I love it. I see that Brad is still breathing in this one. Does that mean you are starting to like him little sis?" I ask her.

"He's ok. He makes mommy happy." She says. That's true. Mom has been the happiest I've seen her in years since the step-douche came.

"True. OK scoot. I gotta get ready for school." She scurries out the room to the kitchen.

Well I guess I better get ready for the day. Step-douche will probably have breakfast ready by now. Let me tell why the step-douche is called the step-douche. Basically......he just tries way to hard,like......way to hard. He always tries to be the "perfect dad" when really he is just being annoying. He is just....ugh. mom says that I need to give him a chance and I have but......he is trying to be MY dad who noone could ever be except you know, my ACTUAL dad.

--------------------------------------------------- LE TIME SKIP---------------------------------------------------

I've been home from school for a little bit and I'm trying to do my English homework. Its not as hard as the other kids homework cause I basically have dyslexia. Writing is not great and reading is really hard for me. I do need a lot of help with both. According to my teacher, I need to challenge myself to get better but how can I get better if I don't even know what the stupid book or sheet says lady?

Dylan is crying about something on the kitchen counter. He won't tell me, mom or Megan about it so I can't do alot to help out. I feel bad cause I'm the big sister and I'm meant to be able to help.

"Hello. I'm home." Oh yay. Here comes the step-douche to save the day. Hallelujah.

"Hey." Mom calls back, still conforting Dylan.
"How was the, uh.....whats wrong?" Brad says walking in and seeing Dylan upset.

"He won't talk to me. He said he only wants to talk to you." Mom explains.

"You want to talk to me? Really?" Brad asks in disbelief. Yeah we don't really tell him much when we are upset. We are just used to mom being the only one who we can talk to.

"Mmm-hmm." Dylan says not moving from his position of his head being in his arms.

"You mean me and your mom?" Brad questions stupidly.

"Mmm-mmm." Dylan says meaning no.

"Just me? By myself?" Brad questions again, just as stupid.

"Mmm-hmm." Dylan says this time meaning yes.

"Sure. I'm...I'm totally free. Let's go to the den. We'll sit there." Brad says as he and Dylan walk into the den. Mom walks over to me and sits beside me to look at my barely done homework.

"You need some help there Phee?" She asks.

"There's no point. I can't do it anyway mom." I say defeated.

"Come on honey.  It'll get easier." She says looking at the sheet. "Oh yeah. OK come one. We can bang this out in like an hour." She says.

"More like an entire day." I mumble. Mom gives me the mom look that says I better shut up or imma bout yo get a wack.

"How about this? You get this done with a little bit of help from me and tonight you get to pick the movie." She says. I nod my head in agreement and we get the work done.

Hey everyone.
Hope you enjoyed this entry.
I'm sorry if I offended anyone with the included dyslexia.
I didn't mean to I just thought it would be a good thing to add to the story.
Love you all so much.
