*BUZZ* *BUZZ*
It was my school bell telling me the first class is over. I quickly got up and moved out of the class as fast as I could. I ran to my locker and quickly fixed my hair before going towards the cafeteria. I took a plate and thank god, there was edible food today. I took some spaghetti and sauce and went to find a seat for me, Mel and a few others.
I took out my phone and scrolled through Instagram while eating. After a few short minutes, Mel came with Caro. I smiled at both of them as they made their way to the table with their plates.
"Hi, is it ok if I sit on the other table today? I have a few things to talk about with my other friends" Caroline asked as she balanced the plate with one hand while holding her backpack in the other.
"Ok" I nodded, and she went and sat at another part of the cafeteria.
"Dude, this plate is heavy-" Mel sits down with a basketball in one hand and the plate in another.
I smile at her "You need to learn to balance"
She playfully glares at me while I finish my food.
Then suddenly a paper plain was thrown towards me. There was writing on it. It said:
'Lovely how life can give you a smile, but life is even more beautiful when I look at your eyes'
I smiled at the piece of paper. I was about to keep it inside of my bag when it was suddenly snatched by....wait for it....Jayton.
My smile turned into a grunt as I got up and tried to take the paper from him.
"Give it back JJ" I growled.
He started smirking and said "Not in a million years" as you can guess we fight like little kids.
I just glared at him as he tore the note. Before he could throw it into the nearest bin I got on top of him and started smacking his head.
"Don't. You. Ever. Do. That. Again." I said in between smacks. Everyone around us was giggling. I got back down and dusted off imaginary dust off of my shirt.
He glared at me and I smiled an innocent smile as we both turned and walked back to our seats, completely ignoring everyone's whispers.
As I walked back, Mel was sitting there looking at me confused. "What was on it, that you started smacking JJ. Not that it wasn't funny"
I just gave her a look before sitting down and sighing. "Apparently I now have a secret admirer who writes cute notes to me and that note was from that guy"
She started smirking. "Finally, it's like everyone is so scared to even notice you because of your father. Someone has finally plucked up the courage"
It's true, my dad is in the army, all the boys are scared of him.
Why are they scared? Well, it's because during one of the school's annual dance comps a guy came to me and asked me out on a date in front of my dad. He got super weird and started glaring at the poor boy.
After a few glares he just started shouting at him for no reason. It was embarrassing as hell.....*shiver*
After that day, no boy dared to even look at me that way.
"Welp, I have basketball practice so I have to go, byeeeee" Mel said as she walked out of the cafeteria, then Spencer made eye contact with her.
I am literally smirking from the inside.
I took my book bag and headed towards the library.
Our school's library is pretty big and cozy. Unlike other high school libraries our library has books that are in good condition.
As I walked in, I smelled the beautiful aroma of old books and roses.
I walked up to a table and sat down to finish my English assignment, then I felt a little pat on my shoulder.
I turned around to see my very good friend Alec Sortwind. I didn't really think he would be here honestly, he was more of an outdoors/nature guy.
He handed me some fresh lavender buds and sat on a chair carefully.
I took them and smelled their beautiful fragrance. "It's nice to meet you Alec"
"It's nice to meet you too goldy"
"You seriously have to stop calling me that" he chuckled as I kept the flowers down onto the table.
"Do you want to go out maybe, we can't talk here right?" He asks a bit too innocently for my liking.
"Of course, why not" I replied in a tone a little more than a whisper.
He takes my hand and leads me to the bench near the school track field.
"Kath, I need to tell you something..." And the bell rings.
I mentally facepalm as I get up and hurry towards my next class. "I'm so sorry Alec, we will talk later. Call me!"
He waves me goodbye as we both go our different directions.
I wonder what he was going to ask me. I have known him for ages, it must not be serious.
I sighed and walked into Chemistry class.
I sat down farthest to the teacher and zoned out trying to figure out what Alec was going to ask me.
