Chapter 3

"I think I'd do it again"

  I refused to believe what he had said was true. There was just no way. Unfortunately, Hayes looked serious. He had a playful smile on his lips. His big, beautiful lips. I bet they're soft.. I mean, no! I don't care whether they are soft or not!  I realized that I hadn't said anything for too long. I whimpered, "ok..". He looked a bit discouraged at my response but them continued on with the game I forgot we were playing.

  "Truth or dare oli?"

  "Dare."

  " I dare you to-" his words were muffled by the suddenness of my kiss. My lips crashed onto his and he responded immediately. I most certainly initiated the kiss, but he immediately took control. He was gentle with me, almost as if he knew this was my first kiss- oh wait, he did. His tongue lightly brushed over my bottom lip, so I parted my lips. This kiss, my first kiss, was everything I ever dreamed it to be. How many times had I fantasised about making out with Hayes? And here I was. Nothing could ruin this moment..

  "Hey guys you wanna- ohh shit." Finn looked confused, then surprised, then embarrassed. Hayes and I were on opposite sides of the room before Finn could finish his sentence. Finn tried to catch my eye, but I was staring at the ground.

  "You guys better not be having sex.." Finn was starting to get amused.

  "What? No! We'renothavingsexwebarelydidanythingitwasjustakiss!" Hayes looked distraught. Finn chuckled.

  "Ok dude. Just use protection and don't knock up my brother." Finn left the room, but not before winking at me.  Hayes and I made awkward eye contact. He was the one to break the silence.

  "So.. You wanna watch a movie?" He was blushing. Hayes Grier was blushing at me.

  "Yea.. That'd be fun." I was blushing way harder. Hayes turned on the TV, and sat next to me; giving me a quick peck on the lips in the process.

  We were watching The Croods, much to my demand. I was resting my head on his shoulder, and he had his arm around my waist. It was a risky position- if anyone walked in they would have no doubt that we are cuddling. Wait- we are cuddling. Wow. Of course I've fantasised about being in this position before but never have I actually believed it would happen. I shifted my head to his chest, and could hear his heart beat. It was a steady beat, but it started to increase slightly. I looked up at him quizzically.

  "Why is your heart beat increasing?"

  "Because you make me nervous." He blushed and continued to watch the movie. I was dying a bit inside. This was the best night of my life so far. I snuggled deeper and inhaled his scent; and fell asleep.

  Luckily, we had woken before anyone else. It would've been hard to explain why we were spooning in our sleep. As of now- we were eating cereal and checking our notifications. I got a text from mom:
Mom: Finn told us you guys are sleeping over. Your father and I will be gone by 9:00am to spend the night in Raleigh for a dinner party. We left pizza money.

  The text was sent at 12 last night. I was probably asleep by then. I sent her a quick "ok love you" and then focused on whatever Hayes was talking about. When did he start talking?

  "Huh? Sorry I was zoned out." Hayes smirked, and said,

  "I was wondering if you'd like to spend the day with me." I didn't even hesitate. No need to hide my feelings anymore I guess.

  "Yeah that sounds awesome!" I couldn't keep the grin from spreading all over my face. "My parents aren't home so we could go chill and watch a movie or something.." I suggested nervously. Hayes smirked and my heart skipped a beat. His next words made me so happy.

  "I'd love that"

  Nash and Finn were out doing who knows what, so- naturally, Hayes and I were cuddling while watching Netflix. Hayes had given me a peck on the lips earlier, which lead me to thinking- what were we? Were we going out now? Would Hayes come out for me? Probably not to be honest, his fame was too much. It kind of hurt, but I just snuggled closer and tried to forget about it. I looked up at Hayes. Why does he like me? Look at his face.. He's 10 times hotter than me.. I hadn't realized how intensely I was staring, but Hayes had. He had an awkward/uncomfortable smirk on his.

  "What's up?" He broke the awkward silence.

  "Nothing.. Just... You're really attractive Hayes and I dont know why you would ever kiss me I mean I'm not even cute and the only reason people know my name is cuz I'm friends with you and Aaron and-" he cut off my stream of self deprecating words and kissed me. Like a real kiss. Better than last night.

  "Will you be my boyfriend?" Hayes asked. I looked into his beautiful blue eyes. Did he even have to ask?

  "Yes.. Yes I will be your boyfriend Hayes." I absolutely cannot believe I had said those words out loud. I might have said them in my mind once or twice in my room by myself, but I had no idea I would ever get to say them.

  "Do you want to come out to the guys?" He was smiling down at me. We had completely abandoned the TV.

  "I'm not the one with a reputation to lose, its up to you." I fully ment that. Obviously Hayes is very popular, and something like this could ruin that.

  "I think we should wait a bit. But not forever." He kissed my forehead. I decided to make the bigger move. I kissed him on the mouth and said

  "Whatever you say, babe."
