A little theory I have...

Now, before this starts... let me just say, this is not another Human Meggy hate post. I'm not addressing any hate towards her. This is just a theory that I've been having in my head since yesterday. I showed it to my friends on Discord and they seemed to like it, so I'll be posting it on here. Anyways, here you go.

I know you're all excited for that upcoming Meggy series premiering on the Glitch channel next year... but I've been having these thoughts on how it might impact the SMG4 series lately. Then, soon after... I thought up something huge. Something that, while it's Half-Life 3 levels of actually happening (and no, Alyx doesn't count), sounds kinda possible at the very least to me.

So... today, I'm gonna share with you all my theory, and predictions, as to how this Meggy series might impact SMG4. Something that doesn't sound possible... but doesn't sound impossible either.

First off, I wanna focus on the environment she was in as we saw from the teaser of this currently untitled Meggy series.

The place she was in doesn't look like it's anywhere near where she lives. It doesn't look like the Mushroom Kingdom or Inkopolis, so this could be the bridge to a new location made specifically for this series. What timeline would this take place in, exactly?

We all know that another Glitch series based on an SMG4 character, Meta Runner, takes place in an alternate universe, so you'd immediately guess that this series would take place in an alternate timeline as well... but here's the thing.

MR Tari looks more realistic, basically human-like compared to the chibi-like design of SMG4's Tari. There's a reason their designs, and their outfits, are night and day, due to the worlds they are placed in.

Comparing Human Meggy in SMG4 to Human Meggy in the teaser... they look very similar. Sure, she would look more realistic in the show, but it's gotta fit in the animation style the show is in.

My guess is that this would take place in the same universe as SMG4, but somewhere far away, because obviously, it wouldn't use any of the Nintendo characters in a more high-budget series (or they could get sued), so Meggy's gotta meet up with some new friends, much like Tari in Meta Runner. And I'm predicting this series will premiere in May 2021, more on that in a bit.

Now, I know what you're all gonna say. "How could this take place in the same SMG4 universe? Meta Runner and SMG4 has Tari in both, so this and SMG4 must have Meggy in both too!"

Well, I have a question for those of you who's asking them now. How would the Human Meggy from SMG4 and the Human Meggy from the series, both looking extremely similar to each other, exist at the same time?

Well... they might be the same Meggy.

Here's where the next part of my theory comes in. The bridge between SMG4, and the start of this series.

Human Meggy's departure from the cast.

Recently, I calculated Inkling Meggy's lifespan from the release dates of If Mario Was In Splatoon (July 15, 2017) and Final Hours (June 8, 2019), and that adds up to 693 days. And what is 693 days after June 8, 2019? May 1, 2021. Since Meggy's a special kind of character to SMG4, one that gets a drastic change nearly 2 years after her introduction, which no other SMG4 character gets (aside from Luigi), he still believes that her Inkling form is as special as her current human form, as shown in the Hobo Bros video where they talk about If Mario Was In Splatoon. SMG4 could easily have both eras of Meggy (the Inkling era and the human era) be nearly equal in length... and a new era of Meggy might begin... in 2 ways. Let me explain.

A departure from SMG4 must be necessary for the Meggy series or else there won't be a series... but Meggy has been an established character in SMG4 for 3 years at this point, so getting rid of her would piss some fans off... so... how would they keep Meggy?

Allow me to bring up another theory that ties into this theory...

I believe that Human Meggy is a CLONE of Inkling Meggy that spawned from the anime incident, and they just left Inkling Meggy behind. Human Meggy just has the same memories as Inkling Meggy when she was created.

Before you all leave (please don't), thinking that ol' Smesh has gone crazy again, telling us all this without any evidence... it's SMG4, people can use their imagination.

Here's my structure of the events that might happen if that's true.

I believe that, in Final Hours, the crash to the tube Meggy was in caused her to get unconscious after groaning in pain a little, and as she got crushed, parts of low-ink Meggy DNA (like some of her hair) were cut by the shards of glass and fell into some machine. After Mario was sent out and before Shaggy went back in to save her, the machines in the base were close to processing a girl for Francis's planned "Waifu Island", with Meggy's DNA inside of it, and thus, out of the machine, Human Meggy was born, waking up as Shaggy carried her back to the ship, feeling weird as if she got transformed from Inkling to Human.

Now that I have all that set in stone, here's my predictions for a mini-arc that will explain this event sometime in April 2021.

Part 1: A normal day in the castle until a knock on the door is heard. One character opens it and gets shocked to see Inkling Meggy at the door. Every other main cast character arrives, including Human Meggy, to see her, and are immediately filled with questions. Then, after she arrives inside, Inkling Meggy explains what happened to her ever since that day happened, Axol thinks that Human Meggy must be a clone, and that surprised everyone, especially both Meggys. Then after a few more things happen, SMG4 and friends welcome Inkling Meggy back into the group.

Part 2: Human Meggy tells Inkling Meggy about everything that happened ever since she was forgotten, and also shows IM her house and new career. After that long recap, both Meggys decide to train together, for old time's sake, but after that, Inkling Meggy is still wondering what will happen now that she's back.

Part 3: Human Meggy starts to wonder if she's needed anymore now that her original self is back to her normal life. After SMG4 told her "the choice is up to you", she thought about it for a few hours until finally making her decision. She told Inkling Meggy first that she's thinking of leaving, and after talking about it with her, she decided to pass her life onto IM. She gives Inkling Meggy the keys to her house and her car, and went to the police station to tell everyone that she's moving her position to IM, and while she wasn't very sure about this, HM helped her train to become a police officer in just one day. Now that Inkling Meggy is an official cop, Human Meggy told all her friends that her work here is done, and that while she doesn't know where she'll go, she decides to start a new life. After saying her goodbyes in a long, emotional scene, she finally departs as everyone waved goodbye to her.

And that is what I'm kinda hoping might happen when April 2021 comes.

After that arc ends, now both Meggys are in the spotlight at the same time. Inkling Meggy's in SMG4 again, while Human Meggy stars in her own separate show that would premiere sometime in May 2021. After living separate lifespans of under 700 days, both Meggys will be of equal importance for the first time.

I know you have 3 questions on your mind right now; "What about Meggy's voice actress?", "Didn't SMG4 say he was done with Splatoon?", and "What about Nintendo copyright?"

For the first question, the inclusion of a semi-notable voice actress in SMG4 always means an original show would come out of it with the character starring in it, and that'll definitely be the case here. As for the second question, well... SMG4 helped move Meggy outside of Inkopolis, which is where most of her adventures originally came from, so keeping one thing from Splatoon (Inkling Meggy) wouldn't hurt. It's just like the recolored Marios. For years, SMG4 wanted to move away from them, but that hasn't stopped him from putting then in as cameos in newer videos. And lastly, for question 3... well, there are many Mario characters that are still in SMG4, so who's gonna stop him?
