"Hannah, Honey the food is really." my mothers voice echos throughout the house. Slipping on my sneakers, I head downstairs towards the kitchen, where Elie our chef prepared breakfast. I would lie if I said that I wasn't starving. I could smell the bacon on my way down the staircase, I skipped dinner last night not on purpose but because I fell asleep reading again, not my fault that I am a sucker when it comes to books.
I don't usually come home over the weekends and stay until Sunday but I could just not put the book down.
I grab a plate and start to fill it up with bacon, fruit and a bit of everything actually. I love food and my parents thinks that I eat more than the boys my age, it is true though I eat more than half my friends but I won't ever let my parents know that.
I love going to the gym and the beach, so it does not show that I eat as much, I guess my hard work pays off. My mother eye's my plate but says nothing, yet I know what she is thinking 'oh my, that much food again Hannah it's not healthy'. We went through the whole talk awhile ago and I told her if I was unhealthy or become over weight then they can complain about my eating habits, but I won't ever let that happen because I may be a wallflower at school, but when my father has his famous gatherings I am just like him all eyes on me, so I need to look presentable.
Thank goodness no one at the university goes to any of those shit shows because that would make my life much more difficult. They ain't even in that league or so my father always says.
"Good morning mother, did you sleep well?" I asked my usual routine in the morning, we ain't close but like to some make time for each other. "Great as every night and you sweetie?" she answers me.
"Not to bad, just a stiff neck but I feel refreshed. Thanks for asking, got to run. " I replied fast in between eating and gathering a few snacks for school. Again I love snacking in my classes, then go buy lunch for me across the street at 'Stein's Berlin', they have amazing coffee and better food!I rushed out while taking a bite of my bacon and screaming a quick goodbye to my mother as I run out towards Lisa's car. Yes, I have a few cars but going to school I rather drive with my friends Lisa and Cara. I like it that way, keeping the other people a bit more out of my personal life, they love gossiping as much as I love my food.
I don't want them to make my life hell like they did with Torry, when he got a brand new Mercedes. I remember like it was yesterday, it was in the start of my first year of High school and I did not know anything about how mean teens can be, until the second week in and they slashed two of Torry's tires because his parents bought a business that one of the popular girl's father wanted. They bullied him until he left our school.
He did not let it break him, because he has taken over his fathers business now and he's running it proudly. Sometimes I wish I could be like that one day, but I am constantly reminded how soft I am and that they will break me. Even though my parents and everyone around me does not know my strengths, I will keep it that way.
