Side's pov
"Oh come on. Really Deluxe? You idiot!" Jahova half yelled. I only thought about what happened last night. Did Shadow, the one who constantly picks on me, really talk with me till almost 5. I feel conflicted. I don't know if I like Shadow..Should I even consider liking Shadow? I'm just a kid to him. I sighed thinking my mic was still on mute. "Hey you okay there Side?" Speedy questioned. I jolted up and checked the switch on the mic. The switch was slid into the on position. Of course.."Yea I'm fine. Just stressing about a math test," I lied straight to my friends. But how could I explain with Shadow in the call as well? What if he knows I'm thinking about him? I felt my heart flutter.
Shadow's pov
As I fidgeted in my chair trying to get comfy, I heard a soft sigh from Side. I almost just left the call, but Side would know and probably feel bad. "Yea I'm fine. Just stressing about a math test," Side replied to Speedy's concern. Is he thinking about a math test or me?..Don't be so silly Shadow..He wouldn't think of me. After all, we're just friends right? As I sipped my water, I thought about the call with Albi last night and almost choked. My heart fell as I remembered what I said after he asked if we could talk tonight. Did I really freaking say maybe? I dropped my head into my head and muted my mic. Jesus Shadow get a hold of yourself. Do I really like Albi? My eyes began to water as I thought about what happened with my ex. No. If Side ends up liking me back, he is going to be mine. I looked up to my screen and saw Side standing right in front of me in Minecraft.
Side's pov
"Shedewww?" I asked. "O-Oh yeah hey there Side. Sorry I was uhm..getting something to drink," replied Shadow.
They both felt their heartbeats getting faster and it seemed as though their brains fried when they tried to talk to each other in front of the rest of the crew, but it was so easy to talk when they were alone.
What is happening? They thought in unison.
