Felix x reader (Fire Emblem Three Houses)

Training

After meeting your new classmates professor Byleth decided to bring everyone in the class to the training grounds. Everyone split up into pairs and Felix stayed with you. 

"Go pick a practice weapon that you think you are good with."

"Okay." You walked away to go pick one like he said and you chose a sword and walked back to where he was and he seemed patient which you did not expect after seeing how serious he was about training.

He was briefly surprised to see a sword, "Your choice is a sword, then let me see if you know how to use it."

As you both prepared yourselves you took a deep breath and were ready to spar. 

Felix made the first move and lunged at you going for your left shoulder, but you quickly avoided him. Little did he know you were actually quite skilled in your quick movements and were not going to be beaten easily.  After you avoided him you did the same and went for his right shoulder, but he avoided it just in time. He was surprised and maybe even impressed at how fast you reacted to avoid getting hit, though he hid it very well and became more serious.

"So you do have some skill after all." he seemed very interested in seeing what you can do and you would not disappoint him. 

Stepping back a bit, " I would not be here at this academy if I was weak, you are very skilled too." He knew what he was not weak either and he knew how to use the sword in his hand, but he was still surprised for him to hear this as he did not get complemented much by people he spars. He hardly ever gave anyone time to just talk to him since he was always very focused on training. For a second he was lost in thought, but that did not last long.

Without him noticing you managed to tap his chest with your sword and you heard Professor Byleth say "That should be enough, you did very well (y/n)." 

As Felix snapped out of it you heard, "Not bad fox you were pretty decent but I will win next time." In your mind you were curious of why he called you fox but that would be saved for another time. Everyone was watching your match with Felix, "That was amazing to see you managed to catch him off guard and that does not happen often." That voice was Dimitri and watching with him was Ashe and Ingrid. 

"Thank you very much." You were happy that your skill was acknowledged by your new classmates and on your first day of being there. "I also know a bit of healing magic if anyone ever gets hurt." 

"If you need someone to help you get better with healing I can help you I have some talent in that as well." Mercedes walked up to you and smiled very kindly, "You should go talk to Felix now that your not training with him." 

After Mercedes suggested that, you walked towards him and he seemed to ignore you at first, but he shortly turned around after putting away the equipment you used. "Would you like to train together again sometime?" This surprised him now you were asking to train with him? "Fine, I do want a rematch with you, but I will win next time." You smiled at him, "Sounds good to me, but I will win next time too."

"If it is okay to ask do you train often?" He seemed hesitant to answer, "I train everyday always trying to get better and I want to become a knight who could never be bested by anyone."

 You were surprised at his answer, "What about you why do you want to become a knight?" This was unexpected, "I want to become a knight to protect those I care about and help others if I can." He seemed to laugh a little like he expected that kind of answer from you.

"I think that will be enough today," after the professor said that everyone left after saying how great your match was except for Felix who stayed behind. "Your not leaving with everyone?"

"Soon I will I want to train on my own for a bit, but I will see you tomorrow." 

"Okay then see you tomorrow." 

Once you left you felt happy about everything coming to this academy, meeting all your classmates, and even showing your skills at the training grounds. There was just one thing on your mind, or someone and why did he call you fox? Unknown to you he also thought about you for just a moment before burying those thoughts about you and quickly focusing on training. There was only one thing he should be thinking about and that was training. 

Would he make an exception to get to know you better or focus on achieving his goals instead?
