Tanuki's POV
I had been wiping down tables in the same coffee shop for five years. Who knew I could've made it this far. Well, it's not really a 'great' job, but it pays. The faint tinkling of a bell was heard as I saw a slightly shorter male with dark hair enter Baux's Coffee. "Hey Tanuki! Whatcha up to?" Kento asked with a wide smile, obviously happy to see his older sibling. "Cleaning. It's been this way the past five years, Kento." I chuckled and shook my head, moving over to another unoccupied table. "Yeah..." Kento mumbled and rolled his eyes nonchalantly. A smile was upon my face, and all I could think about was his concern for me. The manager, Odo, walked in. He had brown hair with small silver streaks, and he seemed pretty old. Nonetheless, he taught me to be a hard worker and to aim for my goals no matter what. "Hey Odo! Nice day today huh?" My little brother smiled, and so did Odo. He placed a cup of steaming coffee on the counter for him. "Mhm. And here's your usual, cream and extra sugar." He smiled, his wrinkles seeming like that of the ripples in Kento's coffee. "Thanks!" He said, slipping cash over the counter. I resumed my cleaning, and soon I would have to mop after we closed for the day. I hate mopping. I heard the familiar chime of the bell again as it rung out. A tall man with a fedora and a black coat looked pretty suspicious when he stepped in. I glanced over at Kento to see his eyes turn a deep red, like the blood of the lost. I felt my face grow pale, and I quickly rushed over to him, taking his wrist and moving out the back door quickly. "Odo-san, I'm taking a lunch break!" I shouted before closing the door. Pulling Kento in front of me, he seemed as pale as I was, like a ghost. But his eyes remained red. "Kento, Kento what is it?!" I asked worriedly, and he shook his head. "There's... Something wrong, something different about that man. I don't trust him..." Silence hung above us for a few seconds, and the metal door clinked as Odo knocked upon it. "One moment Odo-san!" I called over. I turned back to my brother, thinking about nothing but his safety.
