doing bad things just to pursue something precious may be seen as dangerous to some. dangerous being the operative word that i saw as impertinent.

it's love.

"she's dead. she's fucking dead and i'm HERE, NO CLUE WHERE HER BODY IS!!"

"just calm down!"

"she's dead! she's fucking dead! she's dead, she's dead!"

the dark truth about fred that hardly anyone knew about,

there was a certain, and quite rare spark of insanity that would flicker and spit in the odd cases his sister was concerned.

and it was only ever enflamed once.

in school people looked up to him for his competency, and would marvel at his mastery in solving problems. providing solutions. cutting things at the roots.

he was peoples peace and reassurance.

he was the man teachers wanted them to become, and many were inspired by the way he handled things, that he had himself——unbeknownst to him——an entire school that lived by his own words.

the male certainly practiced what he preached, but he wasn't without a glitch or two in his life either.

but because he was seen to have presence of mind, he felt like he wasn't even allowed to show his feelings.

fred liked to think his feelings were only expressed in short infrequent bursts of panic and terror,

but it was the way his eyes changed and made him look unrecognisable to rowan, as though the lights were flickering on a street lamp in the dark.

the times he felt genuinely afraid.

"please, you really need to calm down, just breathe and think, fred. we found blood, not her head." spoke rowan in Spanish, to distract fred from a frenzy with trying to work out what he said.

like tossing in a maths problem during an argument.

but fred didn't want to calm down and think. staying calm in a crisis for so long, he felt entitled to that breakdown.

he was allowed to shout and throw the one teacup to the wall.

"i'll calm the fuck down when i see her in front of me." the male seethed, with an expression unlike anything rowan had ever seen on him.

he was embittered by a strange and sudden lack of know—how. the sight was new to rowan, but it didn't go misunderstood.

his cousin didn't just jump to conclusions there were signs that spoke of a potential kidnapping, and the air grew colder the longer they kept thinking about what might be...

"that could be in a matter of days if you take on board what i suggested." rowan then looked at scaphira, who sat in a rainbow hue spiral on one of the small round tables.
