All through December this year, it had been snowing. At this point, it seemed as though it wouldn't stop snowing until at least February, if not April and although it was cold and although the snow was a little sad, you had absolutely no complaints, you loved the snow so very much.

Often times you'd be found staring outside your window, watching the snow fall from inside— everyone called it the easy way out (while you liked to call it the smart way out). Watching snow fall from the warmth of your home while you studied was one of your most favourite parts of winter, but just as much as you loved watching the snow from inside, you didn't particularly hate the cold so you loved to play in the snow just as much.

Since today was a day off of practice for team z and everyone, especially Raichi, was feeling relatively bored at home. All of them were so excited for their first break in so long, but now that it's finally come they had absolutely no idea what they wanted to do. It just... felt weird to do nothing but sit around for a full day all of a sudden.

Raichi's phone started ringing and he stopped mumbling to himself about how bored he was to check it. All his frustration about just how bored he had washed away as he saw your name pop up on his screen. Immediately, he picked it up and put the phone against his ear.

"Hey," he said carefully in contrast to all the complaining he was doing a few minutes ago.

"Jin!" you said, your voice just as sweet as any other day. Your voice alone was able to calm him down any day of any week and a relieved but a little bit tired sigh left his lips. "Are you okay? Sorry, are you tired?"

His eyes widened and he had to laugh, you could notice the tiniest things about him that he'd never even think about, over the phone. "Nah, I'm good," he replied. "So what's up?"

"Oh, right!" you said with so much excitement in your voice. (For a second he even wished he didn't say anything so the two of you could just talk around.) "Were you feeling bored by any chance?"

"Yeah, of course," he started to say. "We suddenly have a day off after all that training."

"Okay, yeah, I thought so," you said. "So how about we play in the snow with the rest of team Z? I'm sure the others are just as bored."

"Ugh, why do I have to hang around them on my break?"

"Why not! They all sound so sweet, stupid yes, but sweet."

"No, they are not. They're just annoying," he said.

You sighed audibly and said, "Yeah, so I was just calling to ask you to call them for me, we're meeting up and we're playing in the snow. You better call them and we're meeting at 2 by the way!" A moment later you hung up and started to get ready.

You took out your winter jacket to make sure you stayed warm in the cold and started to dig through your closet for your mittens and scarf. Once you were all bundled up and ready to go, you noticed you were still a little early so you decided to head over to Raichi's place first and walk with him to meet the rest of team Z.

"Jin!" you called out as you saw him leaving his place.

"(Y/n)? I was going to go pick you up," he mumbled, looking away and you laughed a little.

"It's fine, you didn't have to, but let's get going, we don't want to be late," you said.

"Yeah, yeah," he said in response and the two of you started walking towards the nearby park where you were supposed to meet the rest of the team. Although Raichi has told you all about them, this was your first time meeting them and you were a little scared. It's not like they know about you, so you were trying to figure out how to introduce yourself.

Your worries must have shown on your face because a mere moment later, Raichi looked at you questioningly and told you that you didn't have to go out of your way to invite them if you're scared. That was true, very true. But you knew that they were all at least somewhat important people to Raichi, so if possible you wanted to get to know them better.

You smiled and slid your hand in his. It was a little rough, but he was quick to hold your hand. You were wearing your mittens and you really wanted to take them off, but you were about to play in the snow, you knew very well that you'd regret it if you did.

By the time the two of you got to the park, almost everyone from team z was already there and you immediately checked the time to see if you were late, but in fact, you were 5 minutes early.

"Oh, there's Raichi!" Kunigami said. "Kind of surprising, I thought he'd be the first one here..."

"Shut it," Raichi snapped back. "Not my fault all of you decided to come an hour early."

"Okay, but it was even more surprising that Raichi said we should get together on a break,"

"Like you guys weren't just as bored," Raichi said. "Besides, it wasn't even my idea, why would I ever want to hang around with you guys on a break."

"What? Then who—"

You stepped forward from behind Raichi and did a little wave, "Um, hi..." you said sheepishly. "I'm (L/n) (Y/n),"

"Wait, are you Raichi's s/o by any chance?" someone asked you.

Delight washed over you, "yes I am!" you said. He had told them about you.

Everyone there mentally wondered why you were with him out of all people but stayed quiet.

"I didn't know you told them about me!" you whispered to him. "Thank you!"

"And yes! I figured you guys were probably bored, sitting around all day so..."

They laughed a little and thanked you and the snowball fights began. You soon joined them and your prior worries washed away. A beautiful smile decorated your face as you laughed a little, but roughly a moment later, a snowball going at what seemed like 100km/h hit your cheek.

"Ow..." you whined and checked just who decided to throw a snowball that hard, and of course it's Raichi.

"S-sorry, I didn't mean to throw it that hard," he said a little apologetic but everyone just stood there with their mouths hanging open. Did Raichi?? Really just??

"Ugh, what did I do," you complained but he'd only mumble something back. After a while you couldn't help but laugh, you were having far too much fun to get upset.

Your laugh washed away all of the regrets Raichi felt, he just wanted to playfully throw a snowball in your face to stop you from smiling so sweetly in front of everyone else, but it backfired a little. He'd never admit it but so many times a day he'd be thankful that you were with him. The amount of pure joy you brought him was indescribable.

And he wouldn't be lying if he said his day genuinely became better when you threw a snowball right back at him and hit him right in the forehead and said, "I got you back!".
