Part 13

POV : The next day you come to work exhausted . you spent the night tossing and turning you barely could get even 1 min sleep . At least , luckis on your side and you're not the one chosen to work with Jax . Regardless of the exhaustion , you try your best toconcebtrate onthe work ...  Several hours have passed  You decide to make yourself some coffee during the break . As you walk down the hallway , you hear Jax's voice . You hide behind the corners so he won't see you . Peeking out, you notice Jax and another intern, Jenna, talking. 

Jennise : You're such an amazing CEO, Jax !

Jax : It's Mr. Lu Fang, Jennise.

Jennise : Do we actually have to be so official?

POV : You see Jennise leaning towards Jax, her hand reaching out for his chest ...

y/n POV : Do they know each other ? You need to know more. Jax has his back towards you, and Jennise is all over him, so there is little chance they'll notice you. You slowly move backwards, trying not to attract attention. But before you turn around, you see Jax shaking off Jennise's hand. Jennise starts pouting. You leave before they notice you and you bump into Amy. 

Amy : Spying on Mr. Lu Fang ?

y/n : Watching Jennise attempt to seduce him.

Amy : Any luck ?

y/n : If she wants to keep the job, no.

Amy : I hope she gets kicked out !

y/n : You are evil !

Amy : She wants to have both, this internship and our handsome CEO as her husband.

POV : You feel a soft pinch in your chest at this thought. From what you've just seen, it's obvious that jax is not going to marry Jennise. But he might marry someone else, and it won't be you. You just met Jax LuFang a couple of days ago. But somehow, he took a pice of your soul. He left you confused and scared. And now you're not sure what your heart truly wants. Although part of you wants to do reckless things, logic wins. You've spent years working to get to where you are now. One night should't jeoparadize this. 

y/n : Let's get back to work.

Amy : Work, work, work until we prove that we're worthy !

y/n : Right.

POV : You busy yourself with work for the rest of the day. You need to show your best right now. That's the only thing you know you should do. 

A couple more days have passed

POV : You've, managed to successfully avoid Jax. You got better sleep the following nights. Better, but not good. Jax stil occupies your mind way too much. Both during the day and at night. But at least during the day you have distractions. Like Jay, who still shows sings of interest. You don't encourage it, nor reject it. You, Jay and Amy have become very friendly over the past couple of days. You spend a lot of time with both of them. You usually go to lunch together, but today Amy chose to have lunch with another intern. So it's just you and Jay. He decides to take you to one of his favorite spots near the office. 

Jay : This cafe has the best burgers in town ! I hope you're not one of those girls who's constantly on a diet ! 

y/n : I love burgers ! I'd never pass on a delidious burger !

Jay : Happy to hear it ! 

POV : When a cute waitress comes to your table to take your order, she practically dismisses you, directing all her charms at Jay. But he seems not tp notice at all. Shortly after the waitress leaves with your orders...
