Chapter 19

"This week had been interesting," I commented, sitting by the shore at the beach.

Since we "won" the game, we decided to have a bonfire at the beach. Actually, it was more of a "celebrating for James going to jail". So far, we know that Handle had allowed them to use steroids to beat us because Handle had always hated Jeff. It seems like the druggies are going to be in jail for life. That thought couldn't make me anymore happier.

"Hey, at least we won the game," Jake called for across me, holding a cup of beer in his hands.

I'm thinking he's already tipsy. Although what he what he said was true, since they were disqualified, we got the winning trophy. But still, I couldn't help but wonder who would win if they had played fairly.

"Hey, you did great out there, so don't sweat it," Aiden held me closer and I leaned in to kiss him.

He returned my kiss, and it once again sent shivers down my spine.

"Why don't you two go get a damn room?" Jayden yelled at us, and I flipped him off.

"Let's go," Aiden stood up and took my hand, leading me away from the fire.

"Be safe, you too," Jake called.

I shook my head, and Aiden laughed, leading me farther away from the crowd.

The waves are crashing to the shore, and I smiled. It was calm, and this was the first time I actually happy in a long time.

"What are you thinking about?" Aiden asked quietly, his arms wrapped around my waist tightly.

I leaned my head on his shoulder, and he sat us down on the sand.

"Nothing and everything," I answered, and he chuckled.

"Count on you to answer like that," he told me and I smiled.

"You know you love it," I smirked.

Aiden turned me around so he can look directly in my eyes.

"That's not all I love," he said softly.

"I love you," I said, reaching up on my knees, wrapping my arms around my neck.

"I love you too," he whispered against my lips and he met me halfway.

The kiss made me shiver, and I got closer to him, never letting go. I know once we're done with high school, I will have to let him go, but not yet. Right now, it's just me and him, together on this beach with nothing stopping us from being together. But somewhere in my head, I'm counting down the days I have with him. One more year, and counting. Eh, what the hell, I have senior year left, so why not enjoy it? Somehow, with Aiden, I know that this moment can last forever.

***So I'm done with this story. How do you guys like it? The ending makes me want to cry, but no worries, I have one last story about Alex to go before I'm leaving her and Aiden. This makes me sentimental. ): ***
