Chapter 19

~Third Person~

Yamaguchi stood there in shock. "H-how did he find out-" he thought to himself as his anxiety heightened.

Tsukishima grabbed Yamaguchi & pulled him into a hug, stroking his back, trying to calm him down.

Tsukishima spoke in a soothing tone, "shhhhh, no need to panic, I won't push you to say anything if you don't want to."

After hearing his voice, Yamaguchi calmed down but Tsukishima didn't let go of the hug.

"Yama, I need you to promise me something." Tsukishima continued

"Hm?" Yamaguchi replies.

"If things worsen I want you to talk to your crush, and if the reject you... Can you please get the surgery..."

Yamaguchi heard the sadness is Tsukishima's voice "Tsuki..."

"Please Yama... I don't want to see you in pain..." Tsukishima whispered, setting glimpses of his sadness in his eyes like waves on a beach.

Yamaguchi felt like crying, he felt his throat blocking up. He nodded and started coughing in his hand, not harshly but enough to worry his friend & crush.

Tsukishima let go of the hug & stepped back to give Yamaguchi some space, that seemed to help.

"We better get heading to class..." Tsukishima said, holding a hand out for his best friend.

Yamaguchi grabbed it & both of the went to class...

"Tsuki~ can I please help you?" Whined Yamaguchi.

"Yama, I told you, I'm okay, I don't want you to move too much, especially if you're in such a fragile situation." Tsukishima responded with a sigh.

"But- its my homework-" Yamaguchi got interrupted

"No buts, think of this as an IOU" Tsukishima said with a smirk.

"Sometimes I don't know why I'm your friend" Yamaguchi huffed.

"Ouch that hurt!" Tsukishima acted.

They both laughed and went silent after that.
