⚠️blood⚠️

Opening wounds is one of the hardest parts of life.
Tearing open the skin that was once damaged brings quick, but constant, shoots of pain that lasts.
Blood will pour, and flow through my fingers, and the cracks in my teeth as I try to decipher what lies beneath my skin.
My hands turn red, and my tears flow.
Once I've torn myself apart, I try to sew the wounds back up.
I try my hardest, but the needle slips between my fingers because of the blood.
You did this
I tell myself. Over and over.
I pick my skin from my teeth, and go back to sleep, hoping when I wake the wounds will be closed.
But when I wake up all I see is dried blood, and tear stains.

That's what I get from opening wounds.
