Chapter Nine

18:21pm, Car,JFK

Vincent and I spent most of our day in my car, we had to stop for gas a couple times but it was my fault to begin with, I thought to mess with him for a while pretending to not know where the grassy Knolls was after passing it like 4 or 5 times and to be honest it was worth it.
He kind of looks cute when he was mad, I won't lie.

I just wanted to spend a little more time with him.

It's weird, I don't exactly know why but I just want to, Y'know. Maybe I was developing feelings for the little guy, but I'm not quite sure. I've had feelings for Cleo before but for another man, it's something new to me though apart from that one time where Joan disguised herself as a man I don't think that counts.

I sighed running a hand through my hair as I parked my car in the driveway of my house. I turned to Gogh who had fallen asleep in the seat, I couldn't help but smile at him. His head was leaned against the strap with his mouth agape while his disheveled hair clung to the side of his cheeks.

He looked peaceful.
I almost didn't want to wake him but he honestly couldn't sleep in my car and I think he'd find it weird if I carried him into my house.

I hummed smirking as I pulled my phone out and took a quick picture of him and shoved it back into my pocket before gently shaking him awake.

He groaned lazily slapping my hand as he mumbled what I found to be nonsense.
It made me chuckle.

"Come on Gogh, you can't sleep in my car!" I cooed as he yawned, slowly leaning up with a dazed gaze. He stared out the windshield for a good minute before turning to me.
"Where are we..?" He mumbled rubbing an eye with his palm as I unbuckled myself along with his seatbelt.

"We're at my house." I spoke softly getting out the car as he hummed nodding slowly getting out yawning again. I smiled watching him stumble tiredly towards my front door, I chuckled placing a hand on his back leading him in carefully. We made our way up to my room, Van crashes onto my bed as I sit down beside him.

"Tired?~" I teased smirking as he hits my thigh with his hand making a slapping noise.
"Fuck you.." he muttered as I chuckled lying down next to him: my hands resting on my stomach as my head was turned gazing at the red head who was trying to keep himself awake.

"If you're tired why don't you just...sleep here?" I suggested as Vincent's eyes glanced over at me as he sighed.
"I can't do that...that just be rude.." he cooed as I shrugged smiling turning onto my side.
"I don't mind...you look exhausted...I don't mind if you doze off for a while, I can wake you up when you have to go" I said as Vincent frowned and gave in nodding as he slowly got up.

"You promise to wake me up?" He mumbled as I nodded crossing my heart like a scout as he yawned crawling up my bed lying down onto my pillows.

"Wouldn't you like eh your shoes off?" I asked as he groaned like a child lifting his leg towards me as I removed his shoes placing them over beside my loafers. I walked back over towards my bed sitting down on the edge as I glanced down at Vincent, he had already fallen asleep.

Again: he looked at peace.

His mouth agape, his hair covering his face as drool formed on the corner of his lip. I chuckled faintly wiping it with the sleeve of my jacket as I soon took it off placing it over him. I gently brushed his hair back from out of his face hoping to god he wouldn't wake up. He slept through it all, the jacket, the drool and the hair.

Even when I thought of going to bed I made some racket getting changed and that still didn't wake him.
He honestly must've been tired or perhaps he's a heavy sleeper, god knows.

I laid on the opposite side of him gently caressing his hair as I would pick up random strands twirling it in my fingers. I smiled yawning feeling my eyes heavy as a small part of my brain thought to snuggle up next to him.

I wasn't against the idea but part of me didn't want to startle him that much when he wakes up.
I soon turned, my back facing Gogh as my eyes soon slowly shut and I began feeling more drowsy by the second.
