'My phone...It's ringing' I thought to myself, half awake.
I answer it, "Where are you! You're late!" The person on the other line says in annoyance.
"Wha?... I'm not late..." I say as I check the time on my phone.
My eyes widen, "ITS THIS LATE ALREADY?!"
I quickly threw my phone away and got off the bed to get ready.
"Yes, you better not keep me waiting any longer idiot!" The person angrily says and hangs the phone.
Oh right, If you are wondering who's point of view you are reading this from, I am Ayano Aishi and today is my first day of the year at school.
I'm not really a morning person so it's much harder to get up.
I ran out of my house without anything to eat.
'Gosh! I'm late! Osano's gonna nag at me again!' I thought while running as fast as I can.
Osano Najimi, my childhood friend, he was the one on the other line earlier. He's a tsundere, his words may be harsh sometimes but he means well no matter what. We've been friends ever since we were young so I'd naturally know him a lot better.
Running, I see a figure in the distance, Osano.
"You're late idiot! You're such a pain, I can't believe you overslept again! He said while I was panting, nearly out of breath.
"It's just like back in middle school!" He added on while I was standing up and fixing my hair.
"I'm sorry..." I said, a little guilty.
"I'm not your personal alarm clock, you know! You can't rely on me to wake you up every day!" He said.
"I'm sorry, but if it bothers you so much, maybe we should stop waking to school together..." I said while walking ahead pouting.
"N-no, t-that's not what I meant idiot." He stuttered walking along side with me.
"Just forget it, your such a pain." He rolled his eyes while saying it. (A/N : Oh ho ho, he's blushing 🤭)
'His ears are red again. Maybe he has a fever.'
I sometimes wonder what he's thinking inside while he's speaking to me. I know he means well but, I am still guilty for waking up late.
He's right though, I can't keep relying on him to wake me up everyday I'm nearly a young adult soon.
"A-anyway, I want you to meet me on the school rooftop at lunchtime, got it?" He said.
Looks like we were going to do that again.
Back when we were in middle school, he'd always make a bento for me. It's sort of like our tradition. I guess we're going to do it in high school as well now.
I replied to him with a "Sure." Smiling at him.
Before we knew it, we'd reached school.
Changing my shoes, I went to look around for a bit. I still have no sense of direction around here anyway.
I'm looking for a club to join this year too, it's getting boring staying at home alone nowadays.
Bidding Osano farewell, I walked around the halls when I smelt something good.
