Liam's POV

I was currently out visiting a neighboring pack with some other members, alarmed at the phone call I had just received last night. I felt angry, being attacked while visitors were here and not being able to protect my pack.

We were on our way back, and I'm glad everything was handled. Things could have been much worse than what they were. However, I had a feeling inside me. One that had me questioning why.

Why was I worried about the well being of someone I didn't know? Was Isis okay? None of that mattered because I was going to find out for myself. I soon found my fingers dialing the number of Finn.

"Liam?" I heard Finn question.

"How are things holding up?" I asked, simply curious about my pack.

"I'm going to pretend as if we haven't had this conversation 30 minutes ago ."

I rolled my eyes.

"Everything is fine, Alpha."

"Okay....How are Isis and Ava?" I threw Ava's name in to make it seem more believable. I couldn't have their blood on my hands.

"They are fine... Very fine actually." He said skeptically.

"If you don't mind me asking, why do you keep calling me. I can smell that you're close." He questioned.

"Don't question your alpha, I'll be there in 30."

I hung up.

Isis POV

I felt amazing.

I woke up for an early meditation session and I aligned my crystals along the window ceil, ready for this red moon to come.

Usually red moons occur during a lunar eclipse, and for us supernatural beings it is a symbol of the four goddesses. Millions of years ago our ancestors would preform a ritual. However, one night the moon goddess herself visited and gave birth to four decedents of the goddess race. Three of them are said walk to this day, and one has never been seen.

Even though they are told to still be alive, none have been seen in hundreds of years.

I smiled at my crystals and I brushed my hair into a ponytail, hearing my phone ring from my bed. I dove to get it, looking at the caller ID.

"Father."

"Isis, how are things holding up?" He spoke.

"Things are going great, we are taking time to finalize things. I love it here, it truly is beautiful." I smiled as I made my way to the bathroom to brush my teeth.

"That's amazing Isis." I couldn't help but hear my mother in the background, struggling to get the phone out of my fathers hand.

"Baby!! We miss you princess."

"I miss you more Mama." I gargled my water and spit it out.

"May I speak to father?" I asked and I soon heard him again.

"There was a rogue attack yesterday" I whispered.

"Already? Are you alright?" He asked.
