"Eloise, Are you sure you're not a Hufflepuff?" Hermione questioned for the second time that afternoon. Eloise had brought it upon herself to take Hermione out for a birthday lunch, well a birthday picnic to be precise.

"Actually I take it back, I've seen you play quidditch." Hermione giggled, laying out a blanket to sit upon.

Rolling her eyes, Eloise sat next to the Gryffindor, pulling out desserts and sparkling grape juice from a brown basket.

"You're being offley mouthy to someone that's taking you out on a birthday picnic." Eloise giggled, pouring juice into a cup for Hermione, promptly handing it to her.

"Thank you again, Harry and Ron forgot." Hermione frowned, pulling her dress down self consciously.

"They're probably just too busy brainstorming the mess they're going to leave at Hogwarts this year." Eloise snorted, bringing a chocolate strawberry to her lips.

"You're keeping that dress by the way, I won't take no for an answer. Consider it part of your present." Eloise smiled as she chewed, Eloise had insisted they would dress whimsically on their picnic, saying something along the lines of "Just like in the muggle movies."

"You're too good to me, El." Hermione took her hand in Eloise's, giving it a small squeeze.

"Don't be daft, you would do the same for me. Now, open your present." Eloise pulled her hand away from the girl to hand her a neatly wrapped rectangle.

Pulling off the paper, Hermione gasped, "You didn't! It's even a first edition!"

"Do you like it?" Eloise bit her lip anxiously.

"I love it! Come here, Eloise Cossette!" Hermione hugged the hardcover book, then traced her finger over the shiny golden letter 'Peter and Wendy'.

"Watch out for the strawberries!" Eloise squeaked before getting the life squeezed out of her.

"Screw the strawberries, You're the best person to walk this earth!" Hermione could barley choke out, she was so happy.

Eloise had known that Hermione wanted this book for ages, so when she had gotten her hands on it she could barely wait to give it to her.

"Ladies, could we please join the love fest?" Eloise and Hermione had both pushed apart still in a fit of laughter, looking up at the two figures towering over them.

"Do you hear something Eloise? It's as if my two best friends, who forgot my birthday, were speaking to us." Hermione glared at the boys while crossing her arms.

"That's today?" Ron asked, turning to Harry, he looked truly confused.

"Of course it is, Ron. Happy birthday 'Mione." Harry elbowed the ginger giving him a look while handing over a poorly wrapped blob.

"Why thank you Harry, as for you Ronald..." Hermione stood abruptly, brushing off her dress. She turned to Eloise giving her a smile.

"Thank you Eloise, you are truly exceptional." Hermione hugged her gift then looked at Ron.

"Unlike some people." Hermione muttered, pulling Harry along with her.

"Bloody hell." Ron sighed, slumping next to the Ravenclaw in defeat.

"Could I have one?" Ron eyed the chocolate strawberries with hungry eyes, then looked at Eloise expectantly.

Eloise couldn't find her voice at the moment, so she simply nodded. She has never spoken to the youngest Weasley boy before, so she tried to start off on the right foot.
