"Zero... Even with a person like her by your side to quench your thirst for human blood, do you still have enough reason to resign your fate?"
The older man was looking straight at Hana when he said that.
She turned around to see Yuki holding Zero tight in her arms. Zero had a painful expression on his face, but his eyes soon held defeat.
"Yagari-sensei... I don't know what you are to Zero... But please don't decide Zero's fate arbitrarily! I won't let Zero die!" Yuki announced. She held anger in her brown eyes as she glared upwards to their teacher.
The man finally turned his gaze from Hana to the younger girl. He looked very dissatisfied with what Yuki said and all three students felt the air get colder.
"You believe that he hasn't degenerated to Level E yet?" he mockingly says to Yuki. "How very naive of you to think."
"Yuki..." It was Zero. The two girls watched as he pulled himself from Yuki's arms. The silvered-haired locked his eyes into hers. "It's okay..."
"What are you talking about Zero, it's not okay," Hana said.
She had actually wanted to barf but held it in. There was a time and place for everything. Instead she held her spot bravely in front of the couple.
"Yagari-sensei, have you forgotten? Zero is Headmaster Cross's adoptive son. I doubt he'll be happy to find out that his newly hired teacher was the one to kill his own son. I'd advise you to put that gun down or you'll end up shooting an innocent human as well."
He smiled raising his gun up.
"That's as far as you go!" It was the headmaster! Hana didn't want to admit it, but she was so glad to see the clumsy man run to them flailing his arms.
Headmaster Cross to Yagari-sensei's side and ripped the gun out of his hand. "I came because I was worried and look! That's why I hate Vampire Hunters!"
Vampire Hunter?! Their new ethics teacher is a Vampire Hunter?!
"Just how long do you intend to keep the girls in that cold water? Not only that, you were also aiming your weapon at Hana-chan!" The headmaster, looking guilty and dejected, reached his hand down towards the blonde. "You poor thing. Here, grab my hand."
Ignoring the eccentric man's hand, Hana pulled herself out of the pool followed by the two prefects. Looking over to her right, Zero still had his hand over his wound. Ouch.
Now that they were out of the water, Hana finally feels how cold she was. The adrenaline must've kept her warm, but now it's gone. The cold night breeze finally chills her body. Her clothes clung tight to her body as it dripped from the excess pool water. Hana hoped that she didn't catch a cold from this.
To the left, Yuki had pulled herself out near Yagari-sensei. Shaking her head, Hana watches as the young brunette face head on to the tall dark man. "Just who are you?" she demanded.
His eyes looked down at her. "I was Zero's master when he was a Vampire Hunter. Isn't that so. Zero?"
What?! Seriously, how many secrets does this academy have?
