you were on your period, and your cramps hurt really bad, like usual, ushijima was at a volleyball game, and you really wanted to go, so in addition to feeling bad because of your period, you also felt bad for not being able to go to the game. so you felt double bad. it was 8:00 pm and you were lying in bed with your laptop, your favorite anime playing on the screen and a cup of steaming hot ginger tea sitting on your nightstand. you were feeling kind of down because you knew ushijima wouldn't be home until very late since his team usually went out to eat and hang out after games together. tired, you shut the lid of your laptop gently and set it to the side. you snuggled under your covers, trying to get comfortable, and closed your eyes. you don't know when you fell asleep, but you were woken by a gentle pair of lips pressed against your forehead. groggily, you opened your eyes and sat up on the bed. ushijima was sitting at the foot of your bed, holding a plastic bag. the time was 9:00 pm, so you had been asleep for about an hour. "hey baby, how are you feeling?" ushijima asked quietly, knowing you were still drowsy from sleeping. "i'm fine," you smiled, "aren't you supposed to be out with the rest of your team?" he opened the plastic bag he was holding and pulled out a couple boxes of chocolate, trail mix, a burger, and your favorite drink. "i got you some food and drinks and a box of pads," he said. he stood up with the plastic bag and made his way to the bathroom to put the pads where you usually stored them. you didn't tell him that you were on your period, so he must've memorized your cycle. you couldn't hide the smile on your face as he organized all the food on your bed. when ushijima came back, you scooted over a bit and patted the bed next to you, indicating that you wanted him to sit with you on the bed. he did as you asked, his long legs protruding out from under the covers and past the foot of the bed, but he didn't seem to care. you grabbed your laptop and set it in front of the two of you and pulled up the anime again. you laid your head on ushijima's chest, and his arm instinctively snaked around your shoulders and he ran his fingers through your hair. the two of you sat together watching anime for god knows how long until both of you finally fell asleep.
