Mimi's POV
After 20 minutes of all three of us rushing to unpack Lulu's stuff we finally began to get dressed. I'm wearing my hair in a side braid. And I am wearing an emerald green satin cowl neckline mini dress. I paired it with gold mini hoops that matched my shoes. My makeup is minimal, I just covered my zits and put on some chapstick. And I am done. I step out of the bathroom and notice Lulu was wearing a dark blue velvet dress that flares out at her waist. Her long red hair was down, but curled. And just like me, she didn't put a lot of makeup.

"I can't find my necklace!" Sofie huffs as she is just in her bra and underwear.

"Do you really need it, the boys are already there." Lulu points out.

"I guess I wear my other dress, but it's nothing compared to what you two have on." She whines as she goes to put on a tight strapless black dress. "See! I need my necklace." She whines.

"Maybe next time," I tell her. I'm

"Come on, you look gorgeous Sofie." Lulu tells her as we head out the door.

Sofie puts her head on Lulu's shoulder and whines the whole time. I don't know how Lulu can put up with Sofie's consistent complaints about how simple her dress is and if only she had more time.

"I bet Mimi is just eager to see Jackson after summer break." Lulu lightly teases.

That's when I stop dead in my tracts. The mention of his name, turns my blood hot.

"They broke up, pretty bad too." Sofie whispers but it was loud enough for me to hear.

"What happened?" Lulu whispers back.

I quickly turn to face them. "Apparently, a man has needs during summer break that a long distance girlfriend can't fulfill." I state through gritted teeth as I turn around and continue to walk to the party.

Once we arrived, I smiled kindly at people and quickly made a beeline for the snack table. I grab a plate and fill it with chips, popcorn, cookies. At this point I was pissed off about the earlier conversation. And was grabbing things to just to grab it and release the built anger I had.

"Woah there hulk, you don't even like sour cream and onion." A familiar voice says. I quickly look down at my hands to see my least favorite chip is now in crumbs on my plate.

I turned around and there was possibly the only person I wanted to see, Mike. I throw my arms around his neck and he places his hands above my waist. He smells like fresh wood, he always does, but I never really noticed until right now.

"Okay, I missed you too, but I got to say hey to the other too okay? Don't be greedy." He laughs and as he did I could hear the deep roar from his chest that my head is currently placed on. I move my head to look up at him.

"I'm not greedy."

"Yeah, okay." He rolls his eyes at me. "Christopher is already getting bored, we might have to go to the courtyard and hang out there." He tells me, I notice he's trying to intimidate a American accent. I remember him saying how as a kid, he was embarrassed of his British accent. I wonder why, now, in his junior year of high school,is trying to sound American now? I don't like it.

"Stop talking like that, it's weird."

"I'll stop if you let go." He says as he flashes that award winning smile.

I slowly let go and look up at him. He's a lot taller than me. I'm not short but I'm not tall either, I'm average. But he must be around 6 foot easily. His dark circles are prominent considering he overslept this morning. His eyes look tired, maybe it's because it's moving day. Or maybe he had a long summer, I know that he worked with his dad over the summer. His dad is the CEO of some tech company that's huge in England.

He hates business, though he never told me this. But seeing how he reacts when talking about it and how practically slept through intro business last year, I could tell. He did have a passion for reading and writing. He had a gift, he was able to look at a chair and write about it beautifully. He was a deep thinker too, I always went to him with questions about life. Even during breaks when I missed him, I would send him a simple question like "what's the meaning behind cows?" And he would send this almost poetry-like paragraph in response. You couldn't tell that he had these talents unless you got to know the real him.

"Hey, party animals! I'mma head to our dorm, to get my necklace because this outfit is gross!" Sofie came into our conversation stumbling, obviously tipsy.

"I'll go with you." Mike tells her as he quickly try's to catch her as she falls.

"No thanks, I'm an independent woman." She drunkenly tells him as she pushes herself off of him and walks off.

"I'll go with her, she shouldn't be alone right now." I say as I begin to walk off. "Our room is 478, in case we're not back within 30 minutes, you all should come." I tell him, hoping he hears me.

I ran out until I was finally able to see Sofie, the party was in dorm building 1 and we lived in building 2 so we had to cross the courtyard on the way back. I was about to catch up to her, when she suddenly stopped.

"Ow, Sofie, not the time to just stop in the middle of the courtyard." I tell her as I rub my arm that must be bruising.

She doesn't respond. And suddenly I look up and see lights flashing. Police everywhere.
