Chapter 5

~Last Day of Warped~

The day for the band was pretty rushed. As soon as they were done with their press and signings, Chris and Devin were taking a flight to see the last show of one of their favorite bands, Bleeding Through for their last show. Ever.

The rest of the band was still at Warped. Reina was sitting with Lexi in the merch tent. Lexi was slightly more dressed up that day because they were celebrating her birthday. Chris and Devin had already given her her gifts (chris; a nightmare before Christmas sweater, Devin; a choker/collar that was pastel pink and had a heart shaped loop, and a little mermaid mug).

Lexi was turning 20. She looks up at Reina. "I really hope my parents end up coming. And my brother."

"I dunno. They might." Reina and Logan had already talked to her mom, Sally, and her dad, Robert, and her brother, Percy, about going out to the last date to see her for her birthday. Reina gets a text from her mom saying they're off the plane.

Lexi asked Reina and she let her go to the bathroom since there wasn't a large crowd. She looked for Logan on the way, since she couldn't find him.

When she goes back she smiles softly as Logan's standing there, smiling like a dork, with a bouquet of white roses. She giggles and runs to him, hugging him tightly. He sets the flowers down and picks her up, spinning around.

"Happy Birthday babe." He says with a smile. Lexi giggles.

Reina laughs and rolls her eyes "You two."

~An Hour or so Later~

Lexi and Reina were still at the merch table working.

Reina looks at her phone, then at Lexi. "Hey Lex, can you go get me a soda from the vendor over there?"

She grabs her wallet and walks off.

Her parents and brother sneak into the tent while she's away.

As soon as she comes back she squeals with joy, and runs to them, hugging them all tightly.

Rick walks up behind Reina, smiling softly. "Good Job, kitten." She blushes lightly. He wraps his arms around her waist.

~Later~

Lexi's parents had just left and everyone who was still there was chilling on the bus.

Rick, Reina, and Logan were sharing a vape pen in the back room of the bus.

Lexi was sitting in the front, talking to Josh and Ryan.

Josh (Korel) comes on the bus holding two big brown grocery bags. He sets them on the table and makes Lexi go sit in the back with the others. She sits next to Logan, watching him do tricks.

He always said using vape was his way of quitting but it never seemed like it.

After a few minutes, Josh

(I'm going to use Josh for the manager and Balz for himself)

makes everyone go into the front. There was a cake with white frosting, black, blue, and purple flowers, that said "Happy Birthday Lexi!" on it in blue with a few black candles around the cake.

She smiles brightly and sits at the table. Rick lights the candles with a lighter he still had in his pocket.

They all sing out of tune and one one records it on their phone for later. She blows out the candles and makes a wish, then smiles. "Thanks guys."

She kisses Logan softly who gently kisses her back.

She looked happier that day than she had in a VERY long time.
