A week

A week since he meet up with Yangyang again

A week since Yangyang had said he wanted to be a part of Zhiqiang's life

A week since he never showed up or called

Renjun just got finished putting Zhiqiang to sleep the small boy had a really bad cold and a high fever

He heard a knock on the door

When he opened it there Yangyang was in a suit holding a dinosaur plushie and a grocery bag

"What are you doing here"

"I know I haven't visit all week but Jaemin told me Zhiqiang had a cold I brought medicine the drinkable kind and some soup and a plushie because I haven't seen him a week"

"And you visit in a suit"

"Sorry I was at work"

"Okay can I ask why you haven't shown up or called at all after saying you wanted to be a part of Zhiqiang's life"

"The honest truth I was scared really scared okay I mean what is he gonna say when he finds out I'm his dad or when he grows up he is gonna realize I wasn't their for all his firsts up until last week my biggest worries in life were myself, my cat, my company and how I wasn't over a breakup that happened years ago now I have a son you're are back into my life as the person who gave birth to my son"

Renjun started to feel guilty

This entire time he was slandering the other for how he said he would be a part of his sons life and then never showed in his head

But if only he had looked at it from Yangyang's point of view he was just scared

Renjun went over to a drawer and looked inside it before grabbing a usb and a photo book handing them to Yangyang

"Why are you giving me these"

"You may not have been there for all his first but that doesn't mean you can't see them that usb has everything on it the first time he opened his eyes at the hospital, the first time he crawled, the first tooth he grew, first step, first time fully walking, first time fully running, first word, first birthday, even his first day of kindergarten last year all there and if you want a bonus this is a photo book"

"This means a lot thanks"

"So when do you want to tell him your his dad"

"Let's hold off for now until he has gotten used to me a little more I practically a complete stranger to him was his dad just yet

"Okay"

Just then Zhiqiang walked in

"Papa my head hurts.... uncle Yangyang?"

"Hi how are you"

The child frowned

"I'm sick so I don't feel good"

"Aww that's why I'm here to help you"

"Really"

"Yes really"

Zhiqiang put his hands out while Yangyang gave Renjun a confused look

"He likes being carried"

With that Yangyang picked the small boy up who just wrapped his arms around his neck and shoved his face into his shoulder

When they weren't paying attention Renjun grabbed the Polaroid camera off the shelf and took a picture of the two

He then opened the photo book and glued it in their writing down next to it

First hug with daddy not papa

He then closed the book putting everything back in their places

Maybe everything wouldn't be too bad
