"Oh no." Molly was the first to break the silence. "Ron, what happened?"

"They surrounded him. There was nothing he could have done. We tried but we just couldnt get to him on time."

You buried your head into his chest again, your tears still flowing freely. Harry, George and Luna joined you all a few minutes later, and chatter slowly filled the room again. You stood quietly by Ron, his arm still wrapped protectively round you. Every so often he'd kiss your head softly. Staring into the fire, you thought of Angus. How could he be gone? Your thoughts were interrupted by Mr Weasley. He was standing infront of you holding out a glass filled with a golden liquid. You took it from him and smelt it, whiskey.

Sirius stood in the middle of the room, holding his glass out infront of him, "to Angus." he spoke. The room echoed his words. You could only mouth them, unable to make any sound. Everyone drank in silence for a minute.

"What now?" Hermione asked. She was sat next to Luna on the couch. Everyone looked towards Sirius and Harry.

"We split up." Sirius nodded after a moment. "We cant let them take us by surprise again"

"But..." Harry started. Sirius held up a hand to silence him.

"We have to go into hiding for a little while, you especially." he looked at Harry. "Just until we can come up with a new plan. We need to try and recruit more members. There are too many of them."

"Thats the big plan?!" Draco stood up. "The famous Order, and thats the best you can come up with? What a joke." he shook his head, walking out the house and slamming the door behind him.

You looked up at Ron. His eyes met yours and he gave you a small wink. Your heart skipped a beat. Even at a time like this, he took your breath away.

"Okay, we split up" Mr. Weasley stood up, walking over to Molly.

"And I mean split up, no more than 2-3 people together" Sirius told the group. "and be adventurous. I dont mean go and hide at home, I mean go hide somewhere you've never been before. Somewhere they'd never even think to look for you. I'll send word when its time."

Conversation broke out through the room as everyone mingled to say goodbye to one another. You left Rons side to go see Tonks. She hugged you tightly, and wished you well. Making your way round the room, you said your goodbyes to all your new friends, telling them you hoped to see them soon. Some goodbyes were harder than others, you could barely speak to Molly. You both just stood crying into each others arms. Eventually Ron pulled you apart.

"Come on, we have to get moving." he hugged his mother tightly. "I love you." he kissed her head.

"Oh my boy, I love you. You too y/n. Please look after each other, and write if you can" she nodded kindly. Ron took your hand and lead you out of the house.

"Where will we go?" you spoke quietly as you walked down the garden with him.

He walked quietly for a minute, deep in thought. Finally he turned to you, "how about somewhere sunny?" he smiled.

You spent the next few days travelling, using the floo network to hop from one place to another. Ron had explained that because he was Harry's closest friend, they'd likely keep a close eye on you both, so the best thing to do was to confuse the Death Eaters. He had told you in no uncertain terms that you didnt have to go with him, that you'd be safer on your own or with someone else, but you hadnt listened. The fear of losing him outweighed any danger you felt.

Finally after nearly a week of travelling, you had arrived at your destination. You were both exhausted, having only slept for an hour or two at a time before moving on. Ron threw himself onto the bed and let out a big yawn as he switched on the tv. You walked towards the window, slid it open and walked out into the balcony. The view was lovely, the air was pure and the heat was perfect. You sat down on an empty chair and let your thoughts take over. You wondered where everyone else had ended up, and if they were safe. You thought of Neville, and how you had never properly thanked him for what he had done. You thought of Molly and Arthur, separated once more from their children. Then you thought of Sirius, wondering where on earth he would have went to. You chuckled to yourself, imaging him on a beach somewhere, probably wearing sandals and socks, attracting funny looks from the muggles who passed him. You felt a sting of tears as Angus popped into your head. You had only known him a few short weeks but you were struggling to come to terms with his death. After word of his death reached Dumbledore, he had went to visit Angus' family. You hoped they would be ok. Once this was all over, you'd visit them and tell them how brave their son had been.

"y/n?" Ron walked out and sat down across the table "everything ok?"

You smiled weakly, wiping a tear from your cheek and nodded. "Just tired, its been..." you trailed off. Ron nodded, and reached a hand over the table to you. You returned the gesture, and he took hold of your hand, squeezing it gently.

"You've handled this whole thing amazingly. The stuff you've had to deal with since we met is insane. You must be bloody mental to put up with it" he laughed.

"Bloody mental about you" you smiled. He looked lovingly across the table at you for a minute. "This place is great" you said, breaking his eye contact and looking around you.

He nodded in agreement. You looked back at him as he gazed around. This was the first time in what felt like forever that he looked happy and content. He'd been carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders lately, but he looked truly at ease here.

"I'm sorry I couldnt get a nicer room for us," he looked back at you. "We left in such a hurry, I.."

"Ron," you stopped him. "Its perfect."

He blushed, squeezing your hand softly again.

So, I haven't said where you & Ron have ended up. I thought you could just picture a place you love or have always wanted to visit! Use your imagination ;)
