She looked around her room searching for the razor blade she always hide.
"Where is it, I always leave it here and nobody comes in my room!" She slammed the drawer shut and threw herself on the bed.
"I'm 16 and rely on a cut to make me happy, one cut to make me forget about the bullies," she buried her face in her pillow and began to cry.
Suddenly there was a knock on the door.
"Sweetie dinners on the table for you when your ready," the familiar voice snapped her back to reality.
"I'll be down in a few mom," she said starting to push herself up.
"Ok sweetie but hurry up, dinners getting cold," with that her mother walked back downstairs.
Marie walked over to her mirror and looked at the reflection.
"Jeez, I look like shit," she started wiping away the tear makes that stained her cheeks and the eyeliner that had bleed.
She walked downstairs and sat down at her usual spot.
"How was school Marie?" Her mother smiled at her.
"It was ok, my art teacher is submitting some of my drawings into a contest," she knew she was sounding distant but her mom ignored it, "how was your day mom?"
"Oh just a typical day at work," she smiled at her daughter.
Marie looked down at her food although it was her favorite meal she had no appetite.
"I think I'm just going to go to bed," she got up from the table and started walking to her room.
"Ok sweetie I'll put your steak in the fridge," her mother called to her.
Without saying a word Marie walked into her room, put on her pjs , and slipped into bed.
So I decided to write this book because of the things going on in my life right now. This book will end up being quit personal to me so I hope you all enjoy it.
