The rest of the trip went off without a hitch, everything was back to normal, and conversed with one another like that first morning here. Jimin was able to suck up his pride and apologize to Flora, she forgave him. Afterward, he continued pestering her about forming an alliance between Poland and France. The whole time there we wouldn't let go of the idea. Flora found it comical at first but towards the end of her trip she was a bit annoyed, like siblings would Jimin keep bringing up the idea knowing damn well she can not make those decisions yet.
Taehyung and Flora went on many dates to get to know each other better. She found it charming when he told her about the small pomeranian he had back home and how much he adored that little dog. They didn't talk about anything royal-related, granted they had to go on these dates in discreet outfits so the talbots won't report this. But everything went as perfectly as it could go.
Seokjin had to leave a few days earlier since he had obligations to attend back in Korea, Jungkook spent most of his time here just gaming to Flora's surprise painting. "What else can this man do" she was astonished at how talented he was and yet he chose to still be an advisor. Namjoon was tough to get to know, he was very close off towards the girls since he just met them, it was hard to keep a conversation with him. Taehyung explained to Flora how one day he just stopped being this lovely social guy. Namjoons brothers to this day don't know what happened one day he left on a trip abroad and when he came back he just kept to himself.
Nova and Hoseok on the other hand kept disappearing together. Flora didn't ask any questions as she respected her friend and trusted that she knew what she was doing.
Sadly the trip came to an end. Flora and Jungkook were back on a private plane back to France. Nova decided to go back straight to Spain as she described to Flora "I have obligations I have to attend to" Nova looked disappointed because she knew there was a pretentious man whom her parents were setting her up with who was waiting for her.
Jimin
"Safe travels my dear friends and new friends" Jimin was eyeing Flora when he said, new friends.
Well, I think my job is done here. He walked back into his estate and crashed on his sofa. "I basically secured an alliance with France '' content with his accomplishment, he forgot that he still has to look for that mystery girl. "Tsk, why is this girl making it so difficult to be found".
Taehyung
Once we arrived back in Korea, our Mother and Father greeted us. Seokjin was nowhere in sight. "Mother, where's Jin?" Namjoon wasn't fazed. He just walked past us after the greeting and what I'm going to assume is he went to his greenhouse.
"Jin went to Marigold Hill", Marigold Hill? I thought that Orphanage shut down because it was underfunded. "Mother, I thought the orphanage closed down. Why would Jin go there? " She looked at me like I was missing some important information.
"The orphanage didn't close down, underfunded, yes. That is why I sent Jin there so he can attend a charity event there. We're trying to turn the establishment into something beautiful that the kids will love. This will be one of Jin's many events he'll attend before she is crowned king".
"Okay, I see, well I'll be in my chambers if I'm needed" rushing to my room I quietly closed my door and locked it. I wasn't able to tell my mother about my relationship with Flora. At least not yet. We both agreed that we would keep it between us till the time was right. Only my friends and hers know. I walk out to my balcony facing the greenery we have here.
lost in my thoughts, I was thinking about the dates we went on in Poland, I missed spending time with her. I sighed and sat down and rested my head on the small glass table that was outside.
What quickly snapped me out of my thought was a text message I received from someone I haven't heard from in months
Text message: Hey Tae I know it's been a while since we talked but I'd love to get some tea with you. You know... to catch up before I leave.
Flora
Jungkook and I arrived in Versailles, on the plane he was filling me in on what my mother had planned for me once I arrived back home. " Her Majesty wants you to meet them in your father's office, they want to speak to you about the girls they chose to be your ladies in waiting".
Ladies in waiting? I thought I told my mother I didn't want them. I'm capable of taking care of myself. I don't need assistance. But that's naive on my part, to think I have a choice when I'm a part of a monarchy. How silly (emoji here)
Jungkook and I rushed down the hallways together to my father's office. "I'm afraid I have to leave you, Flora, good luck" he pats my shoulder and leaves. I've never been afraid of my parents but as the time gap shortens for me to get the crown, they have been a lot stricter than before. I took a deep breath and straightened my poster before going in.
"Hello, Father, Mother." I approach them, taking a seat in front of my father who is sitting, and my mother standing behind him with her hand resting on his shoulder. They do look like the ideal couple even though when they first got married the Citizens of France were quite skeptical since she isn't from here. I wonder how they were able to make it work?
"Thank you for arriving promptly, daughter. As you hopefully have been made aware, we have chosen your ladies in waiting. They will be arriving tomorrow morning. from now on they will be assisting you in all your needs. Their parents have sent them here so they can look for suitors as well. Each will leave one they find said suitors."
I was about to speak but my mother cut me off "AND no you can not dismiss this, it is a part of the protocol, you've been lucky to push this off in your teenage years but now you're 22 and an adult. you can't push any further" I wasn't surprised when she knew what I was about to say. She knows I dislike this lifestyle. But I'm left with no choice.
"The girls will meet you in the morning as well as Jungkook since he'll be the one showing them around the palace and then the estate where you'll all reside in" That's right I don't live in Versailles my parents do, I just stay in an estate that's in the same premise as the palace, it was one of the very few requests they agreed to, I don't live alone, of course, I have many guards, and cleaning ladies that live there along with, Jungkook he's the one who relays all the messages between the two places but I guess I'll be living with more people.
It's not that I don't like them, it's that I'm nervous to meet girls around my age. My only friend is Nova...and well the other royals I met in Poland but they're guys. I guess this will be a chance of getting to know more girls around my age. This can be a good thing, I just need to give this a chance.
