Let's Break Up

My English isn't the best but I hope you like this short one shot none the less.

Kirito

- It's been almost four years since Asuna and I have started dating and those four years has been best part of my life. I met her in SAO death game. While at first we didn't get along much but slowly we came to understand each other and work together for a while.

During first year of SAO many players perished, Asuna and I being in top tens of all players we worked very hard to get stronger and clear the game. I taught everything I knew about the game and helped her get stronger. But eventually we had to split over a disagreement and that was where our partnership ended.

Next time I met her she was completely a different person. While I was little sad that quiet and naive Asuna was replaced by battle-harden Asuna, but I also understood why she was the way she was.

We were trapped inside a death game. We could also our lives in seconds, we had to calculate our every moves. One wrong move and we would disappear, forever.

For a while now I had came to understand the feelings I had for Asuna. I always thought she was the most beautiful girl I have seen, she still is. I had also somewhat suspect she felt the way towards me. It took a while but we had officially dating after my near death experience. She saved me, I owe her my life.

We got married - in game - and brought a house, and spent well deserved vacation with her. During that time we also found Yui - our AI daughter - in the forest. It was perfect.

Few weeks later I had cleared the game defeating Heathcliff who was Kayaba in-disguise. We had beaten the game but in the process both Asuna and I had died - or so I thought but I woke up and saw hospital ceiling. I was back, but Asuna still hadn't woken up. I visited her everyday in hope of seeing her awake one day

After few weeks I had since I woke from SAO I found about Asuna - she was in ALO. Trapped in another game again. Thing happened that I don't want to be reminded of.

We have been a very happy couple for few years. She is everything I could ask for her in a girl. She is understanding of me, she helps me with whatever I need help with. She keeps me happy, smile never leaves my face when I am with her.

But, is she happy with me?

I have been very busy with help Kikuoka Seijiro with investigating what was left of Laughing Coffin - PK'S from SAO. It has been months since I took her out to another date. She must be thinking I'm neglecting her.

*Knock* *Knock*

I heard the two soft knocks on front door. I got up and walked over to open the door. And there she was standing beautiful as always.

"Kirito-kun," she smiled at me. The kind of smile she would only give me. The smile I fell in love with. The smile that would make my darkest time light up.

And the smile I was about take it away from her.

"Hey," I replied with a small smile, "Come in! No one's home right now."

Her face instantly flushed crimson. She nodded and walked inside as I stepped away from her way. I took her hand in mine and walked her to my room upstairs. I opened the door let her and myself in, slowly closed the door behind me.

Asuna looked around my room curiously and her attention landing on a picture of us that was on my desk. She walked over to it and picked it up, her lips pursed into a small smile.

"Asuna, I wanted to talk to you about something."

She turned to look at me, her smile slowly disappearing. She must've seen what kind of expression I was making.
