"I have something to tell you, Laila." "Just promise me you won't tell anyone." "I promise." "okay. I'm attracted to women." Laila gasped. "Becca, you know that bad things can happen if you ever tell anyone, you could get kicked out. Or worse." "I know, I know." "To be honest." Laila told her. "I feel okay telling you this because I've known you for so long" "for a long time now I've been scared to tell you this but, I really like you." "I mean, I feel like I would never forgive myself if I never tell you how I feel." Laila instantly kisses Becca after telling her this so Becca would understand what she meant. That's when Laila's mom told them "Laila, Becca! Time to go to bed! goodnight!" They tell her goodnight and get changed. They sit in silence for a bit before finally going to sleep. The next morning Becca wakes up and gets changed, soon afterwards Laila wakes up. Once they change they go downstairs and eat breakfast. It consists of toast, eggs, and orange juice. Laila tells her mom that they are gonna hang out in her room. They go back upstairs to Laila's room and talk. They think it's best to start dating because they both have feelings for each other. But, they don't tell anyone. They can't. Since they just graduated high school, Becca stays at Laila's house more often. Becca was tired of keeping their relationship a secret, so she asks Laila if she can tell her mom. Laila tells her fine but tell her not to tell anyone. Becca tells her mom and her mom accepts her and knows that Laila and Becca are together. She promises not to tell anyone. One day they decide that they would not hide anymore.
