Chapter 1

~Eiji's P.O.V~

I woke up to the sound of beeping and the sunlight in my face, I quickly turned off my alarm clock realizing that it was time to get ready for my first day of sophomore year. I'm really excited!!! I don't know what it's going to be like since I just moved to America and I'm not used to things here yet. I finally got out of bed and got dressed, I put on a white dress shirt, some khaki pants and some nice plain black shoes. I finished my daily routine and went downstairs to see Ibe san cooking some breakfast. "Good morning Ibe san!" I greeted him "Good morning Eiji, excited I see." He greeted back. "Of course! It's my first day in an American school!" I replied, he finished up breakfast and set the eggs and toast down on the dining table, "Ok Eiji eat up then get moving, you only have 25 minutes before school officially starts." He informed me. Oh christ 25 minutes!!! I better hurry and eat if I want to get there early. I quickly sat down and ate my breakfast then put my dish in the sink. I told Ibe san goodbye and speed out the door.

I finally got to school and had 10 minutes to spare, the school looked really big and I couldn't see any other students on the outside. I have my class schedule already but it's going to be a mission to actually find the classes. I walk in and the first think I notice is how the teens that were already inside looked scary, some of them looked like thugs or gangsters. I made a mental note to stay clear of those students. My schedule said that my locker number was #34 so I got to looking. I found it pretty quickly and I got it all set up with my stuff before going to class, on my way there I bumped into someone. "Oh I'm sorry! I wasn't looking where I was going sorry!" I said to the person. They were shorter than me and had black hair, I looked down to see he was staring at me. "It's fine... I haven't seen you around before are you new?" He asked, "Yes I'm new my name is Eiji Okumura." I stated putting my hand out for him to shake it. "Oh well hello my name is Sing Soo-Ling." He said reaching for my hand to shake it. I analyzed him, he looked nice so maybe I could try being his friend. "Do you think you could show me around? I don't really know where my classes are." I asked him, "Yeah sure, let me see your schedule real quick." He said. I gave him my schedule and he looked it over. "Mmm it seems we have most classes together, so I could definitely show you around and tell you about some things." He said while giving my schedule back. "Ok thank you so much Sing, I hope we could be friends if you want?" I asked Sing. "Of course Eiji! I like the idea of being friends but we have to get to class now." He stated. He lead the way to our first class.

When me and Sing got to class it was pretty empty except for a couple of students here and there. "Here Eiji sit here." He command while pointing to the seat next to him. I quickly sat down and quietly waited for the teacher to get to class. "So Eiji there is two people you kind of want to avoid if you don't want trouble..." Sing said to me, I nodded signaling that I want him to continue. "The first one is the boss of this school, he keeps everyone in check his name is Ash Lynx and he's really cold so make sure you don't get on his bad side. The second one is Shorter Wong he's Ash's right hand man and they both stick together all the time. They're both in gangs too." He stated. At first I was shocked that they were in a gang but quickly brushed it of. "Ok Sing I'll make sure to stay away from them. Thank you for telling me." I said. "No problem Eiji." Sing said. And with that the teacher walked in and got ready to start class. Once she started class she was in the middle of talking when two boys came in. One of the boys had pretty kinda long blonde hair and the most beautiful eyes I had ever seen, his eyes were like green jewels. The other boy had a purple mohawk and sunglasses on so I couldn't see his eyes. Sing leaned over and whispered "Thats Ash and Shorter." I looked at the boys up front and I was met with green eyes staring right at me. I quickly looked down to avoid his gaze. That's when that teacher spoke up, "Boys you're both 5 minutes late." She stated the blonde one which I think was Ash gave her a look and she shut up real quick. They both made there way to the open seats that were behind me and Sing. For the rest of the class I could feel someone staring at me but I was too afraid to look and see who it was.
