Clash In The Middle-Grimmjow Love Story

Chapter 5

Itsumi's P.O.V
I panted as I noticed that the amount of attacks of increased and I frowned wondering what the hell was going on. I panted having found a place to rest and hid my energy as I kept look out for danger and heard an explosion some distance from myself.

I cursed when Ryu used his fire to heal my wounds and I kept pushing forward till I found a way to get into the castle and I thought to myself that I was crazy.

I headed inside alert slowly and moved when I was attacked again and flipping onto my feet I noticed that this time I two opponents and cursed mentally to myself. "So who's the first one?"

"Heh your a funny human." A male with dark hair was behind me and I calmed myself as he swung his blade and I sonpoed swinging my blade.

"Burn Ryu!" Orange flames started around me in a tornado and I smirked. "Can you play with fire without getting burnt?"

The male smirked and attacked as we locked blades and I wasn't playing nicely as we collided I could feel that he was holding back. "Heh shouldn't hold back." Cutting the ground and flames appeared sending my first opponent flying hard and far with the second one attacking me and I swung my blade. "Bite and break Ryu." Black flames covered my entire blade and cracked his blade. "Never fight a dragon." Using my blade and twisted his sending him flying and knocked him out as well and pushed forward.

I managed to make it to where a fight just finished and heard yelling as I hurried with my blade sheathed and followed what sounded like someone yelling a child to me and stopped seeing Ichigo wounded with a child with him. "Head in the game Ichigo!"

Ichigo froze when he heard me and looked back. "Itsumi?! Are you alright?"

I nodded my head. "Yeah just a little exhausted; I already fought four different enemies." Resting as I watched Ichigo fight and I knew he didn't want to use his hollow if he could help it.

I watched the fight and was slowly regaining my energy until he defeated his opponent. "Nice job. Looks like our paths brought us to the same area."

The child spoke worried. "That's where the higher rank arrancar are miss; their stronger then you's! What if you die?!"

Ichigo got an annoyed look as I sighed kneeling to her height smiling softly. "May I ask your name first?"

"Oh uh it's Nel miss." She was slightly shy as she spoke.

"My name is Itsumi I'm one of Ichigo's friends. I know your worried but if we don't fight and keep trying to save our friend then us coming here will have been for nothing. Our friend is very precious to us; we've known her our whole lives. She came here to keep those she loves safe; it's not fair that she's making a sacrifice for us...I'm sure you understand we'll fight with everything we are to get her back to us safely."

Nel was shocked but had tears in her eyes listening to what I said. "B-But they will kill you all! Don't you...?!"

Ichigo kneeled resting his hand gently on her head. "We know that Nel; but like Itsumi said us being here is worth the risk. Orihime is worth us fighting for cause she's always had our backs for as long as we can remember."

I nodded my head as I stood and looked around. "We need to keep moving forward; there should soon be more people coming Ichigo and you and I need a chance to rest for a few minutes."

Ichigo got up and Nel lead us further inside explaining about the levels of the Espada and Arrancars and how they each get selected for their rankings.

I was behind the other two and spread out my senses and frowned when I couldn't sense Rukia and it worried me greatly and looked to Ichigo as he looked to me both understood that we were worried but couldn't afford the chance to go look for her.

I kept Nel back when a spanish speaking male challenged Ichigo to a fight and my hand went to my blade already on high alert.

"Be careful Ichigo!" Nel was yelling as she watched the fight and looked to me. "Itsumi! Will he be alright?! Why don't you cheer him on?!"

"Because I already know that Ichigo will be alright; have some faith in him Nel. Ichigo's heart is in the right place he's stronger then you figure even I can see that." I watched the fight and at one point the male attacked towards us and I slid my blade out to guard myself and Nel before Ichigo sonoed in front of me protecting us. "Careful Ichigo."

"Yeah I know...Itsumi; do me a favour move yourself and Nel back please. I'm going to use that I won't use it for long and we both know why." Ichigo kept his eyes on his enemy but spoke seriously.

I was nervous but nodded my head as I moved Nel away as I kept my eyes on the two fighters and I was tense as I kept my hands on my blade. "Ichigo... be safe. Remember your in control of him now."

I saw my friend nod his head as myself and Nel watched. I took the time to spread my senses again and I smirked softly sensing that the others were moving closer and I returned to watching the fight with Ichigo noticing that Nel was hiding behind me. "Don't fear him Nel; he won't hurt you. Ichigo's not like that he's worked so hard to control this side of him."

"A-are you sure? What happens if he looses control?" Nel spoke up and she clung to one leg but had kept watching the fight draw out.

Grimmjow's P.O.V
Grimmjow listened as they kept getting reports and at one point he got to see that Ichigo was now using his mask that was like a hollows and he glared watching.

During the fight he noticed that the dragon zanpakto user and a child were watching the fight and he saw the taller female had her hand on her blade.

He looked over when Starkk spoke up and was surprised to see the male awake. "What did you say Starkk?"

"The taller female she's tense ready to fight; she's watching that fight and she's sensing out her fellow comrades. She's watching her comrade with the mask fighting but no worries are coming from her which means she has absolute trust in her." Starkk spoke before he yawned from his spot but he too kept watching the fight. "A human with a hollow mask is unheard of."

"No a few years give or take I had done some experiments on some soul reapers in the Soul Society. I blamed another former captain who ended up saving them and are all now in the human world; that captain is the same one who helped these people to get here and he no doubt has been allowing them to train somewhere in that world. Alright my Espada; go after them and keep to the plan."

Grimmjow smirked he was going after Orihime as he saw Ulquirroa head out to deal with the intruders. No one would take Grimmjow's kill; and the woman he was curious about her and wanted to capture her.
