Henry POV....

"This award goes to, Maggie Pierce!" Announced the Chief of Police.
Henry watched as a tall, blond walked up on stage and took her reward.
"Thank you all for making this happen." She started. She gave a long but impressive speech on her reward and what her team was and has been doing.
When the speech was over Henry asked his niece, who was his assistant, "who is that? The one who got an award."
"That is Detective Maggie Pierce." She said, she was reading Henry's blog to make sure it had no errors in it before it was posted. "And anyway, you should be preparing for your class tomorrow night." She added as she turned to look at him.
He smiled and looked down at her, "what would I do without you?" He chuckled.

Maggie POV...
When Maggie came down from stage her heart was rasing.
"Mom you did it!" Came a voice as she felt something slam into her. Abigail looked up with a big smile on her face.
"Yes I did. And it was all thanks to you." Maggie laughed as she tickled her daughter. Abigail was about 13 years old and was at Maggie's shoulder in height.
"What did I do?" Abi giggled.
"Hmm well let's think. You kept me awake when I wanted sleep, you talked me and my team to death, and also you ate my food. Yes you where so much help." Maggie laughed.
"I wasn't that bad." Abi protested.
"Of course you weren't. I was just joking." Maggie said as she pulled her daughter in for a hug.
"Also remember that I have a date tomorrow so grandma will be here to watch you for a night. Not because I don't trust you but because she doesn't trust you!"
"Haha very funny." Abi said as she buried her face into her mom's chest. "Your not going to marry someone and leave me right?"
"What! Of course not! No if they don't want a child then they picked the wrong person to date." Maggie reassured her as she walked with her out of the lobby.

Henry POV....
Henry was walking out of the lobby when he bumped into a mother and a daughter. He recognized the woman as the Detective who won the reward.
"So sorry ma'am." He said as he helped her pick up the things that she dropped. "Please don't be. I was not looking where I was going." Maggie said as she stood up. When Henry was finally standing again he saw at once just how beautiful she was.
"Congratulations on your reward." He studdered, trying to find his words. "Thank you." She said, trying to brake the awkward moments.
Just then Sofie, Henry's niece, ran by and said; "we are going to be late!"
Henry looked at Maggie, "Sorry to bump into you. Have a nice evening!"
Sofie dragged Henry to his next appointment.
