Anna POV

The alarm rang loud at 6am. A horrible beeping my dad had set it to, and locked it so I would have no choice but to get up in the morning. Damn him for being such a computer whiz.

I pulled a black tank top, dark flannel shirt, black pants and boots out of my closet to get ready for work. My belt with my badge and holster was already draped over my chair, my gun locked in my bedside cabinet. And then my phone rang.

‘Yeah?’ I said sleepily, picking it up.

‘Anna? Where are you?’ the voice came from the other side. It was my dad. I guess you could say I worked for him, but also Uncle Tony. They both headed the MCRT team at work. My granddad was the director of NCIS, and got me a job once I was old enough.

Sam, my brother, decided to become a lawyer. We’d always agreed to disagree, but our jobs basically made us enemies, and I never hesitated to tease him. He hated it when I called him Sammy.

‘I’m at home. Why? I’m not late, I know I’m not. It’s only six in the morning,’ I protested.

‘Yeah I know, but we got a case. Your mom wants you to get your ass over here,’ I could hear the smile in his voice as he hung up.

My mom’s an agent too. She used to be a marine, but joined NCIS after her SO recommended her. She came from England, and she’d met my dad there, but they lost touch after he went back to America.

On her first day, Dad was already working here. They met, found out my granddad was my Mom’s real dad etc. Then they had me and Sammy (we’re twins), and a couple of years ago, when we were 17, Mom was going to have another baby.

Turned out it was twins again, a boy and a girl. So now, it’s me, Sammy, Jay and Tom.

We’re the McGee’s.

McGee POV

‘Where is she?’ Tony grumbled for the millionth time. ‘Anna inherited a lot from you and Lizzie, but her being late – that’s all her.’

‘Whatever, Tony. Anna woke up her normal time, and she is 21. You can’t expect her to be like Ziva every morning,’ I brushed it off, looking through the stack of paperwork we’d already got from the local LEO’s at the scene. ‘Look, why don’t you just go and meet Ducky there. Talking of Ziva, she’s actually late this morning…’

Tony left reluctantly. Him and Ziva still teased each other, still got on each other’s nerves, but they loved each other. They’d had three kids, whilst we’d had our four. Talia, the eldest, Aaron, the middle, and Sienna, the youngest. Talia was kind of different to the others, in that she had much lighter brown hair, almost blonde, whereas the other two were much darker. Speak of the devil, they’re just walking in now.

Lizzie POV

I had no idea what to do. Talia, Aaron and Sienna had come in when I was walking up the stairs to the bullpen, looking scared and Sienna looked as though she’d been crying, and she was a tough little cookie. It took a lot to make her cry.

They told me that they couldn’t find Ziva this morning, and when Aaron hacked NCIS (they’ve all got their talents. Talia’s just like Ziva, Aaron is a tech wizard and Sienna arty and musical) they found that she hadn’t come in.

We all knew this could spell trouble. With a capital T. As we got upstairs, Tim was already there.

‘Tim, we can’t find Ziva. She didn’t come to work this morning, she wasn’t going for a run, she’s not in the gym, and the kids didn’t see her this morning,’ I babbled. I know what it’s like to not know what’s happened to your mum, and its hell.
