Y/n's P.O.V.

When I left the kitchen, I sat down next to Trinity and Lizzy, and we talked to each other the majority of the night. With Trinity, I felt safe talking to her about anything. Girl stuff, crushes, and even life's most uncomfortable situations. I kept looking up and seeing Aidan talking to Emmy and David, and he glanced over at me for a moment before looking back at them and continuing the conversation.

"You've been staring at Aidan all night, Y/n. Is something wrong?" Trinity asked, putting a hand on my shoulder. "No, nothing's wrong, Trinity," I answered, shaking my head to get me out of my daze. She looked me in the eyes and silently asked me to talk to her. She was very good at trying to find out what was wrong. And it got me every time.

"I'll tell you, but can we talk in private?" I sighed in defeat. "Of course," she answered, helping me stand up from the couch. We walked down the small hallway towards the bathroom, and I shut the door behind us as Trinity sat on top of the toilet. "So, what's going on? Talk to me," she smiled. "Look, the reason why I keep looking at Aidan is because I have a crush on him. I was scared to tell you because I know that you and Aidan are close," I burst out, covering my mouth after I said those words.

Trinity's eyes grew wide, and she took a while to process what I had just said. "Could you repeat that, please? Just a little slower?" I repeated what I said, and afterward, she let out a small laugh, and her cheeks turned a bright pink. "Y/n, you have it all wrong. I only think of Aidan as a friend. Sure, we may be close, but that's it, just close friends," Trinity explained. I swear I could've let out a breath of relief, but I was still a little confused. "But, I thought you liked him?"

She just shook her head and smiled, "Besides, I had a feeling that you had a crush on him," she smiled. A knock fell upon the bathroom door, and I jumped, bumping into the bathroom counter. "Is someone in here?" We heard the voice of Emmy ask from the other side of the door. "Yeah, we'll get out now," I answered. I opened the door and saw Emmy was standing in between the door frame but moved out of the way so we could leave.

We sat back on the couch with Lizzy and Casey, and the time got closer and closer to midnight, and soon it would be time to sing my song. For the next few hours, I kept occasionally glancing up at Aidan, and he would smile at me. At 10:25, Trinity called everyone to pay attention, and it was time for me to sing my original song.

"So, my sister, Y/n, has been working on a song for a while. And I have to say that this song is really good! And she's going to perform it for us tonight!" she announced. Everyone started clapping for me as I got onto my phone and played the demo I had recorded a few weeks prior.

Plug in the mic, open the curtain,
Turn on the lights. I'm through rehearsing.
The feeling ignites, I'm in control,
The crowds in the palm of my hands
All my fans stand, what is the truth?

What's an illusion?
You're searching for proof,
But are you certain?
Whatever you see is what you get.
If words paint a picture then,
I betcha I can getcha yet.

I'll make you believe in me.
I can be what you want me to be
Tonight is the night where I make you see
That I can be anything, anything, anything

I'll make you believe in me.
I can be what you want me to be
Tonight is the night where I make you see
That I can be anything, anything, anything

I've got nothing to lose, I've been exposed.
I'm paying my dues, playing the role,
I'm breaking the rules, flowing the flow.
I've got the whole world nodding yes,
Like some bobbleheads.

I'll break a sweat if you wanna
Confess all your sins. You know you got 'em.
The rooms in a spin, the fever's pitched.
I swear there's no doubt I'm legit,
I'm no counterfeit

I'll make you believe in me
I can be what you want me to be
Tonight is the night where I make you see
That I can be anything, anything, anything

I'll make you believe in me.
I can be what you want me to be
Tonight is the night where I make you see
That I can be anything, anything, anything
You want from me

I'm not shy, boy
I can be what you want.
Your bright shiny toy
You just have to respond.

The clock never stops.
But baby, it's time
There's no doubt in my mind.

That I can make you believe
I can be what you want me to be
Tonight is the night where I make you see
That I can be anything, anything, anything

I'll make you believe in me.
I can be what you want me to be
Tonight is the night where I make you see
That I can be anything, anything, anything

I'll make you believe in me.
I can be what you want me to be
Tonight is the night where I make you see
That I can be anything, anything, anything

I'll make you believe in me.
I can be what you want me to be
Tonight is the night where I make you see
That I can be anything, anything, anything
You want from me

The room erupted with applause, and I could feel a smile spread across my face. Aidan was smiling as well as I sat down next to Trinity as we waited for it to get closer to midnight.
