Dead by Daylight is a survival/horror game. It's basically like Friday the 13th. There are four survivors and one killer. In order to escape, the survivors must power five generators. Once that is done, the survivors can get out by opening one of two exit gates. Survivors can be hooked twice before getting hooked a third time(death). Killers can also bring in things called moris which allows them to kill a survivor who's only been hooked once.
There's a video that might help if you're interested. It's a fun game, I'd recommend it. It's available on PC and console. It was made back in 2016, so it's a bit out dated. Still a good explanation though!
