JAZMINE.

I opened the door as the knocking continued. My parents appeared and China pushed past them.

"Hey." I said and China hugged me. They wanted to come over for themselves. I couldn't care less, really.

I stepped aside and let them walk through. "Hey mom, dad."

"So, where is he?" Dad asked making me roll my eyes. "I said I don't want you near him." He continued and i walked past them. It's sh*t like this that I don't stand for.

"Yeah dad, I heard that part. But he needs my help." I said and walked to the kitchen with them following behind me. I have a bad feeling about this.

I entered the kitchen and Jahking turned his head. I walked to him and he wanted to get up.

"You better sit down." I said and he looked at me, like he didn't want to but sat back down anyway. I jumped on the counter.

"Hello, Mr and Mrs Brown. Hey China." My mom nodded, dad crossed his arms and China went and kissed his cheek. He hissed.

"Sorry, sorry."  She said and stood back.

"It's alright."

I looked at my dad, who was staring a hole into Jahking's face. "You believe me now?" I spoke up and Jahking looked at my dad.

"He seems fine to me. You are coming home." He said and I stared at him.

"What?"

"I said you are coming home, he only has a few bruises on his face. You made it seem much worse." I rolled my eyes and jumped of the counter. Jahking turned his head to me. I lifted Jahking's shirt and they looked at the spot where the band aid was. I let the shirt go and looked at my dad.

"There it is. You want me to take his pants of too?" I asked.

"You are still coming home, now. I don't want you near this boy, did you forget he cheated? He hurt you." He said and now it was Jahking's turn to roll his eyes.

"No dad, he didn't cheat."

"You have full proof of that."

"Well those was a lie, he was drugged. He didn't do anything."

"Is that what he told you?" Mom asked.

"And i believe him." I crossed my arms.

"Yeah dad, I don't believe he would do that too." China said

"Stay out of this. It's none of your business." Mom told China and she rolled her eyes.

Always tryna control everything and everyone.

"No, this was her business from the start. Now dad, I am sorry but I'm not going home. I thought this story about trying to control me, was dead a long time ago, but now you're tryna do exactly that."

"He can call his parents."

"But he called me. You can go home without me, I'll be back in a few days. Please don't make me mad." I said and my mom shook her head. "Mom, talk to dad please. He's your husband, and you understand."

"You're a disappointment." Dad said and I stared at him. Unbelievable. I'm sure that's written all over my face.

"I'm a disappointment?" I huffed. "I'm a- wow. Maybe it's your fault I turned out this way, cause you didn't do what you had to in the first place, so it's your fault and I thank you! You failed your duty as a father in my eyes, you failed to protect me!" My tears fell. " Right under your nose." I said and Jahking stood up and held me.
