I lazily focus my eyes on the passing scenery while listening to my mom go on about moving to New York. "Y/N, be more positive. This is a good thing! A new start!" It's obvious that she's just trying to convince herself.
I start to look through Instagram where all my friends back at home are partying without me. I'm not as affected by the move as my parents are anxious in every way. As for me, it is still difficult to leave all you've ever known behind.

I exit the moving van for the last time bringing my two last boxes full of clothes inside. I carefully maneuver up the stairs to my bedroom. It's much bigger than my last one in H/T, it even has its own bathroom.
I put away all my belongings and head to bed knowing I have my first day at a new school tomorrow.
