There was a time. A time where the earth was covered in blood. A time where the air was filled with screams. A time where the water was drenched with death. A time where the fire was dying from rage.

There was an unending war. There was no hero. There was no hope. The world was dying, even the stars far above us, were dying.

But the people fighting, they didn't notice. All their eyes could see was power and wealth. The people didn't see that the earth was crumbling, that the sky was falling, that the animals were dying. All they could see was blood.

God, who looked down on all this, cried. His world, his people, his love. Everything was destroyed. He decided to give this world, and the people who lived in it, one last chance. He searched around the world, trying to find pure hearts. Hearts that still held hope for the future, hearts that still believed in the light.

After searching for months, God wanted to give up. He wanted to give up, but then he found them. A group of four people and their leader. They protected eachother. They helped eachother. They cared for eachother.

God descended from the heavens, to the five people that gave him hope. He gave four of them a gift. A gift that would help them save the world. Then he turned to the leader of this little group.

The leader ended up with five gifts. Those gifts were to help him save the world, but also to help him protect his friends. He would be the centre of this circle. A circle that never woul've broken, if they  weren't betrayed.

The men, closest to the leader, betrayed them for money and power. The leader was broken. But he stood up, and now he had the courage to fight. He now realised why god came to them to save this world. Not to fight for peace, but for hope. So he gathered all the pieces of his heart, and called his friends.

They fought, not for power or wealth, but for hope. Those four people, gave hope to the world and the people in it. The war ended.

''Daddy? Why did the leader realise he fought the wrong fight?'' A five year old girl asked.

''If you think about it, really deep, I'm sure you already know the answer.'' The father of this young girl answered.

''It was the one who betrayed them. Wasn't it?'' The girl asked with a sweet voice.

''That's right. He gave up his happy life to save his friends from fighting the wrong fight.'' The father answered.

The girl nodded in understanding. She then put a lock of her long, yet black hair, behind her ear.

''Than he is my second favourite person in this book.'' The girl said with a big smile.

Her big, silver eyes sparkled.

''Then who is your favourite? The leader?'' Her father asked, a small smile playing on his lips.

''Nope. It's you daddy. It's you who came down to earth and gave them their gifts.'' The small girl said.

The father smiled and closed the book. He loved his daughter more than anything. The man, her father, was really the god who made this earth. He looked down from heaven, and smiled when he saw his favourite creation. The man turned towards his daughter when she yawned. And a soft smile played his lips again. After his daughter.

''I think someone needs to go to sleep.'' The father spoke, while laying her down in her bed.

He loved the fact that his daughter still acted human. When she reached sixteen, she would be immortal. Just like all the supernatural in the world, just like him and her mother. But till then, she would be his little girl.

''Good night, daddy.'' Her sleepy voice spoke.

''Sweet dreams, princess.'' He answered in a whisper.
