Achilles stood there in shock, trying to process what exactly it was that he had seen. "Is that proof enough for ya'?" The executioner shouted back at him, a smug smirk painted his greasy face. Achilles shifted his gaze back to the man, whatever he was, and noticed that his eyes stared directly into his own. Frozen in place, his heart began to beat quickly. The executioner wrapped his large fat fingers around the thick rope that held the blade of the guillotine in place, pulling it back sharply, a look of pure enjoyment on his face. Achilles hesitated for a moment before calling out. "Wait! Uh, he's a relative of mine! The wings are simply metal and fake feathers!" He set his basket down beside himself, climbing up the wooden stairs of the platform. The executioner glared angrily down at him. "If this bastard is really a relative, then what might his name be?" He asked with a slight snicker in his tone, knowing full well that Achilles did not have any sort of idea. "His name is- his name- Perse! Yes his name is Perse, He's my second cousin!" He called back sheepishly, the man giving a quite surprised look at him. Achilles looked back over at the executioner, "So p-please, let him go."
The executioner thought for a moment, before lifting the holding piece from around the man's neck, allowing him to sit up properly. "Consider your self lucky. If i find him anywhere around here again, I'll blow his head off rather than using this ole' thing!" He scoffed with a sharp and sinister snicker. The man glanced down at Achilles, as he had been much shorter than he had expected. "Thank you." He replied gratefully, his voice rather deep. Achilles nodded before looking around at the crowd, that by now had ceased completely. He returned his gaze once more to the man. "What is your name?" He asked without hesitation, leaving the man a bit startled. "Perseus. My name is Perseus." The man replied politely, his wings fluttering slightly. Achilles held out his hand. "Achilles. Now, about payment for me saving you." He said quite coldly as he walked off the platform, retrieving his basket and checking for any stolen or damaged goods. "Pardon?" Perseus questioned with a raise of his eyebrow, the light fabric of the silky shawl blew softly in the breeze. Achilles approached the male, coming rather close before stopping less than an inch from him. "You'll be working for me from now on."
