On Monday at school Lily walked in as the bell rang for her first class to begin. She bolted up the stairs hoping she wouldn’t be too late because she didn’t want a detention, but she was late and her teacher Mrs. Walsouski yelled “YOUR LATE! DETENTION!” as Lily walked fast paced to the back of the classroom to the only empty desk. Mrs. Walsouski was the health and careers teacher, tall, tan, blonde and about 48 years old. “I’m sorry for being late. It will not happen again.” Lily said to Mrs. Walsouski. “It better not!” Mrs. Walsouski replied.
“Hey, you're the new girl, right?” a boy beside Lily asked.
“Yes, my name is Lily Caldwell.” Lily replied.
“Yeah I’ve heard of you. Nick has told me lots. I’m Jarico Walsouski by the way. Yes, I’m related to our teacher...Sh’s my mom.”
“Oh, it’s nice to meet you.”
“Nice to meet you too.”
“Is this your last year of high school?”
“Yes, yes, it is.”
“Is it yours?”
“No, its not. Its my second last year. I graduate next year.”
“Oh cool.”
“what are you doing after school?”
“Oh, probably just hanging out with Nick, Jake, and Isela. what about you?”
“In all honesty probably nothing just homework as usual.”
“Oh, ok cool…. you know what I might be able to see if you can come hang with us. Isela has a friend who is single if your looking.”
“Oh, no I’m ok for now maybe later on this year?”
“Ok, yeah sure.”
“What’s her name?”
“Mayson Barker.”
“Oh, I know who you’re talking about. She is quite popular around here.”
“Oh, really?”
“Yeah she is. She is a social media influencer.”
“Oh, cool. I was kind of popular at my old school for my music and art abilities.”
“Wow, that must have been cool.”
“Yeah, it was very strange being surrounded by people who loved you.”
“Must have been. I mean I’ve only been surrounded by people who only wanted to be my friend because I am good friends with Jake Walker who is kind of a celebrity on TikTok especially.”
“Wait…I knew Jake before I knew Jake this is so weird.”
“Wait what do you mean?”
“I have followed Jake on social media for like three years now and here I am to think the Jake Walker and are now friends.”
“Oh, yeah it’s the real TikTok famous/social media star Jake Walker. Not the people who pretend to be him for attention”
“Wait what Jake Walker did you think he was?”
“Oh, you know how some people have the same names as other people and some of them look alike as well?”
“Yeah.”
“Well I thought that was the case in this situation.”
“Welp it’s the real Jake Walker.”
