Hey Everyone,
My name is Grayson and this is my first attempt at a novel. I am beyond excited to present Maggie, a wizarding world fan fiction based a couple of years after the Nineteen Years Later epilogue at the end of the Harry Potter series.
I am thrilled that you've chosen to read my book. Maggie is a very special character to me. She reflects much of myself and has given me an opportunity to explore Hogwarts in my own way. I'm planning on taking her all the way through Hogwarts, from her 1st year to her graduation. Big things are about to happen there and I am really excited to take you with me on her journey.
There are a couple of things I want to address here. The first is that, as this is my first long piece of writing, I would really appreciate all the feedback you could offer me. Let me know how I could improve my writing and what you guys want to see in this book. It would mean the world to hear your thoughts.
Secondly, I will try to stick to canon as much as I can but, due to creative limitations, I may stray a little away from the world J.K. Rowling has created and the events which occurred in her writing - especially the Cursed Child script. Maggie is an entirely new and original story based on a pre-existing concept and there will undoubtedly be some small differences between my story and true canon.
Thirdly, I am fully aware of the moral arguments surrounding J.K. Rowling at the moment both concerning her views on the trans community and surrounding the trial between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp. I would like to make it clear that, by writing this fanfic, I am not condoning or agreeing with her words or actions and nor the separation of Johnny Depp from the Fantastic Beasts film series. This book is very much for the Harry Potter fans who, like me, were taught to celebrate differences and support the minority. I, myself, identify as a trans man and am therefore very outspoken against everything J.K. Rowling has said surrounding my community. My inbox is open to all who need a friend, regardless of which communities you belong to.
